Western Bariatric Institute (COE) Bariatric Center

He was layed back. Gone to him while I was trying to get rid of a nasty stomach flu. Lost some lbs when I did the consultation with him. Even thou, I do not have alot of medical condition, ( lower back ache, my left knee cracks, low self esteem ). And he looked at the record that my brother had this done last year, my sister is doing her paper work as well as I am. And the family history of heart attacks, and strokes. He approved it...YEAHHHHH!!!!! Now I just hope the insurance does....
As the office staff, they were friendly. But I had to go to one office to another and wait for sometime. Just have to be patient.

He's caring, knowlegable, and concerned.
My impression never changed.
The staff is outstanding.
His knowlege.
Don't be afraid to go in with a list of questions and concerns to talk with him about.
I didn't see him every time I went in.
Dr. Ganser's surgical group has an extensive educational program for WLS patients and aftercare is highly stressed.
Yes. They follow you for a full year after your surgery, they have on line help and have a coodinator for their WLS program who is prompt and reliable in returning your calls.
Before surgery, they have a two and a half hour class covering the surgery including the risks.
10 out of 10.
Both were outstanding.

I just would like everyone to know that Dr. Ganser was the best surgeon I have ever had. He was very kind and explained everything that I needed to know. Going to his office was always a very good experience! He is was just as excited about doing the surgery as I was about having it. I did get to have two surgeries by him because after my gastric surgery I had to have my gallbladder removed 12 days later...I didn't even know I had ever had a problem with it...but he was there again with that reassuring smile. I can't say enough good things about him. He is everything I wanted in a surgeon and more!

When I went in for my consult, I wasn't positive if I wanted to go through with this surgery but after meeting with Dr Ganser, I knew for sure its what I want. He was wonderful, he spent a good 30-45 min with me just explaining everything and answering all my questions. He was so very nice and just a great guy. I can't wait to have him do my surgery.

he is a very nice man and helpful
no
very nice although very busy
you have to follow there program and go through everything they want if you want surgey
yes
very good
the only thing I can really say that is it is hard to reach a person at the office - and it is a lengthly process.

I LOVE DR. GANSER! FROM THE FIRST TIME I MET HIM HE IS SO CONSIDERATE AND INFORMATIVE. HE THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED THE ANSWERS TO THE IN-DEPTH, AND THE STUPID, QUESTIONS THAT I HAD. HE HAS EXCELLENT PEOPLE SKILLS AND REALLY MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE. HE IS WITH WESTERN SURGICAL GROUP AND THEY HAVE A VERY IN DEPTH BARIATRIC PROGRAM - BOTH PRE OP AND POST OP. THE OFFICE STAFF SEEMS VERY NICE AND NOT JUDGEMENTAL AT ALL. OVERALL, DR. GANSER IS FANTASTIC!!

I have met with Dr. Ganser several times now. He did my gall bladder surgery in October of 2003. He is very personable and is very caring. My insurance would have not covered my surgery if he hadn't taken the initiative to call and explain my situation. I don't have my surgery date yet, but hope to get it next week

My first impression of Dr. Ganser was that he was terribly young and very handsome. He was / is very personable and very easy to talk with. I never felt intimidated by him. He was open and obviously confident with his surgical skills. I didn't feel like he took anything casually, but that he was comfortable with his stills. He was concerned about how I felt about the surgery. Now, I guess I am not quite as impressed with Dr.'s staff. I found the insurance lady, Ronda to be very pleasant. Chris always returned my calls. I personally felt that I had to be my own advocate as this office is appears to be VERY busy. I also felt that some members of the office could have been friendlier to me. I prefer bubbly type personalities and less serious demeanors. Aftercare is strongly emphasized and almost all aftercare is going to be handled thru the new website. All of my questions regarding the risks of this surgery have been addressed. Overall I would rate the surgeon as excellent. I would say that Dr. Ganser's surgical competence preceeds my surgery, and my daughter says his bedside manner is great. I will just have to confirm this after my surgery!

Dr. Ganser is someone who puts you at ease right away. He answered all my questions and those of my husband in our first meeting and in all subsequent meetings too. When I saw him after surgery his manner was just as easy going and friendly. At my one week checkup, he was very gracious about letting me have my picture taken with him. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable in his office. I have five nice little incisions that have healed well and he must know his stuff pretty well, because I'm doing great!

Dr. Ganser performed my surgery December 9, 2002. He was wonderful! The first time I met Dr. Ganser was the summer of 2002. He was informative, caring, and compassionate. He totally made me feel comfortable. The office staff at Western Surgical Group was awesome! Karen knows her stuff. Karen is the Bariatric Coordinator for WSG. I personally would recommend anyone contemplating WLS to seek out guidance from WSG. Dr. Ganser and his staff have awesome before care and follow you afterwards for after care. The nice thing is we are one large family. Dr. Ganser did an incredible job on my incision points. I have 5 small puncture wounds. I have had no problems with having this surgery. I can tell you this --in four months I am down over 60 pounds! There has never been a diet on the market that has been that successful.
In closing just let me say, "Dr. Ganser I love you!"
