And Dr Kira Schofield, I never met Dr Rosen. I was under the impression Dr Schofield was doing my surgery. I went to the Wish Center, they have an excellent Pre and Post program, the office staff is excellent.

He was great! He really seems to care about his patients, and he answered all of my questions (there were thousands of them!). He was also the surgeon for my nurse, and she raved about him!
The WISH center has a terrific comprehensive program, that includes your meeting with exercise physiologists, dieticians, psychologists, and the surgeon.

Dr. Rosen was very friendly and put me at ease. He and his staff at the Wish Center treated me with the utmost respect and care. Their program is exceptional in that it gets you ready for surgery in every way--emotionally and physically. They think of every question and answer it before you can even ask. I would rate Dr. Rosen and his staff at the Wish Center a 10. I fel very confidant to have him for my surgeon.

My pre-op program is now at a close, and my surgery is three weeks away. The second pre-op appointment with Dr. Rosen was much better than the first, and I feel really comfortable and confident with him. He has a great sense of humor, and is definitely very confident of his ability and of the WISH Center program. The office staff at the Downer's Grove WISH Center is, for the most part, AMAZING. Betsy, the exercise physiologist is always upbeat and really motivational, the dietician is really positive and kind, which is unlike some nutritionists I've met, Dr. Pujara (the psychologist) is soft spoken and very thorough--all in all, they're a great team, and I'm thrilled to be working with them.

I really enjoy the wish center, they make you feel that they are the right choice.

That they are the only choice.
They have a 6 hour pre-op appointment, in which they really evaluate you and your health. They took care of the insurance processing, set you up with a dietician, a nutritionalist, a psychologist, and the surgeon.
They have great follow up care, with support group sessions etc.,
The hospital they are connected with Provena Mercy has their own Bariatric Wing. How great is that?

I have only met Dr. Rosen once so far, but he seems great so far and a friend of mine used him and is experiencing great success.

Very professional. Had a great crew at the hospital as well as the clinic.

My first impression was of someone who knew what he was doing, and I felt very comfortable with him. His staff is absolutely wonderful. I had been contemplating going to a different doctor, one that was in network for my insurance. This is a very expensive surgery and out of network costs are high, but because of the support before and after I believe this is invaluable to my success. I need all of the support and will find some way to pay. He is straightfoward and honest. Takes his time and doesn't feed it to you sweetly. He gives you the facts. They don't give too much information at one time, they save some for the pre op visit so you can digest everything and understand the life changing journey you are about to embark on.

First impression - very professional and personable. The WISH Center program is extremely comphrensive. I have homework to complete before I can e approved for surgery.

3/30/03 - The total cost of my initial consult was $1,900!!!. My insurance company hardly picked up any of it. Seems their rates are high on things. Also I was given the impression I would be contacted weekly by someone from the WISH center and NO one has called me. I have made 2 calls to them.

My insurance company has approved me for the surgery! That is nice. Have to wait and see what actually gets paid for.
