Dr. Tersigni is a very impressive doctor. He talks to you so you fully understand all the pros and cons about the surgery. He also explains that he will not approve to do the surgery on everyone. You need to be certain that this change of life style is for you. As time went on I saw Robin and Scott for my follow ups and they always asked if I needed to talk to Dr. Tersigni about anything. But Scott and Robin are the greatest. I look forward to my visits with them and the staff in the office. There are times I just want to weight and they smile and let me weigh. Robin even gives out her cell phone number so you can call her about any problems. Then there are the support groups and not every person is happy about having the surgery and tell why. Then there are the ones like me that feel I would not be alive today had I not had the surgery. This is not a sugery for everyone. As the doctor explains this is a tool. It is up to you to use this tool. There is no way to rate Dr. Teresigni. I did my homework and felt he was the best and I was so right. He could have done nothing more as a doctor. He is Fantastic...great does not come close to how caring this doctor and his staff are to every patient. Thank You Dr. Teresigni for giving me a new lease on life.

I saw my surgeon once for about 5 minutes before I had my surgery had met with Scott, his PA twice and had talked to office staff and the nurses and had also been to class and support group so I felt ready to have surgery even though I hadn't talked to Dr. Tersigni to much. The staff is very helpful through all phases of the process. I was impressed when I attende the support group at how healthy all of the post op patients looked ( I am a nurse and have seen a lot of patients who have very thin hair, grey complexions etc. and I did not see any of this in Dr. Tersigni's patients. The aftercare and follow up seems to really be emphasized to help patients suceed. The surgical risks were covered very thoroughly and post op instructions were very clear. I think the Dr. his PA and all office staff are very kind , competent and knowledgeable.

I really like him. He was thorough and answered all my questions. His nurse is awesome! Dr. Tersigni did the rny on her husband, 2 of her childen, and I think her brother. She also had the rny 4 years ago by another doctor. I have heard nothing but good about this doctor. My friend who is a nurse asked another doctor about him and he gave him rave reviews. Very encouraging! All this of course is my own personal opinion.

All I can say is Thank you!! Dr.Tersigni Thank you so much for giving me the most wonderful gift...A whole new life!

We are sooo lucky to have this man in our area.. He's such a gifted surgeon and takes great care to see that your surgery is successful in every way and his on-going
support groups are motivating and helpful.

Dr. T. listens and understands everything you're feeling. He cares about you and can help you best if you're just honest about your eating habits and weight problems.

He's the best in my book and I highly recommend him.

I met Dr. Tersigni in March, initially I was nervous about the appointment and meeting him. His nurse Robin came in and spoke with my sister and I first. She answered alot of questions I had, and made me feel at ease(she is really easy to open up to, and she has went through the surgery too!) When the doc. first came into the room, he shook my hand(strong grip:) and he seemed a little impersonal and quiet. But I eventually I got him to smile. my biggest concern was whether or not he felt I was a risk of having the surgery and if he was confident. And he answered all my questions. My sister was even impressed with him.. overall I like him and have faith in him:0) I have not had the greatest relationship with his other staff members. However Mindy has been the most helpful.

First impression, very nice man, a little "reserved" but very serious so I am glad. Normally there is a lady who cares for the majority of the precare information but she was on vacation and I think the doctor was a little overwhelmed. I felt much better about the surgery after talking with him. He answered every questions and I was very happy with some of the surgical techniques he described that made me more confident. Will say more later when I have more time to know he and his staff.

I met with Dr Tersigni on Jan 20th. His nurse and he were both professional and helpful. Also likable and knowledgable. I did not get any bad vibes or negative feelings. It's just hard to decide to let someone cut on your body after meeting them for only 15-20 minutes or so. All my questions were answered, I knew the answers to most before my appt, and neither the Dr or nurse appeared rushed and took the time to answer and reassure.

So far Dr. Tersigni seems like a very kind, gentle, knowledgeable man. He is very professional in manner yet very personalble. His office is comfortable and his staff seems very efficient and compassionate. One special thing about Dr. Tersigni is that he is a very religious man and I feel very safe knowing he and I have the same beliefs and he is not ashamed to pray. I have been given the impression that he and his staff will be checking up on me on a regular basis and they are very cocerned about the well-being and comfort of their patients. His staff were very clear about the risks involved and the "pain" that will likely follow. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about him from any of his patients that I have met. I believe that surgical competence is of the utmost importance and the icing on the cake would be a great bedside manner...of which I am sure Dr. Tersigni possess both. I wouldn't even consider looking for another surgeon.

I like him, he seems to be a very nice person.

His nurse was very informative and helpful.

Yes he has a structured aftercare program.

During the consultation.

I would recommend him to anyone with weight problems.

If I get approved and have the surgery I will be able to anwser the questions more throughly.

I have an appt to see Dr F March 6th, 2000. I'm very anxious to meet him and staff as I have heard so much about him from many PRIDEGroup members and from others thru research.
My appt went great! I really like Dr F. He is very professional. Treats you with care and understanding.

After exhausting my appeal process I gave up the fight for 2yrs. When I contacted Walter and Kelley Lindstrom to see if they had any reversalls with my ins co as some bl cross bl shield plans had started paying for surgery Kelley told me I might want to check out the lap band surgery as I would be a self-pay. Well lo and behold that must have been what I was waiting for because everything fell into place and I had out-patient surgery 08-12-02 with Dr Tersigni in Coos Bay,OR. Hurray Hurray! I am on the road to a healthier LIFE!
I think Dr T is a GREAT Surgeon!
