My husband and I met Dr Ehrlich at the seminar in Sept 2003. We were impressed with the information we received. He was very honest about what to expect and what not to expect. We had already resigned ourselves to doing the lap-band although we did listen to all the information given and after the seminar we felt we had enough information to weigh the options and stood by our choice to both do lap-band.
I have been so impressed with the entire office and with Dr Ehrlich's level of committment to his patients. Since my husband and I live 1 hour or so away, we really rely on the ability to get answers by phone and for awhile it seems I was on the phone at least twice a day with one question or another (Can I have Egg Drop soup on the full liquid diet??) Never have I called the office and felf that I was annoying them or that my concern was not important to them. Danielle and Mandy are simply wonderful and make the whole transition from pre-op patient to post-op patient a lot easier.
Dr Ehrlich and his staff are firm believers in the success that patients have when they participate in the support groups and encouraged us to come to new patient seminars and to tell our story and experiences. Anyone trying to chose a surgeon should know that this office runs like a finely tuned machine and the pre-op process is easier than expected. I would recommend Dr Ehrlich to anyone but those that do their research will come to that conclusion by themselves.
My husband and I are the first two patients to receive the new lap-band, Vanguard. It is the band used in Europe for years but it is new here in the US. My understanding is that the band is slightly biggger and can hold more fluid and is used with patients with higher BMI's. We are, I guess, test cases here since I was the first Vanguard that Dr Ehrlich placed.

I came to see Dr. Ehrlich when I contemplated the surgery.I found him personable and informative.
I find his office staff to be available to me for all of my needs.Since surgery which was 9 days ago I've had many questions. When I call the office I usually speak to his PA Danielle who's been great! She can answer most of my questions. I also know she's in contact with Dr.Ehrlich with my concerns.
HHMMMM what do I like least about him? I truly can't say anything bad about him.
I can tell you what I like about him.
He's compassionate,I trust him, which for me is a big thing. He's also a stickler for after care.
He also pulled no punches in letting me know what could happen, but also reminding me of the up side.
This was a big decision for me,as everyone else.I feel wholeheartedly I made a perfect match of patient to doctor with Dr.Ehrlich.

He was awesome. My impression hasn't changed at all. The office staff is great. They are all really friendly and sweet. Danielle and Mandy are the best! Future patients should know that it is their responsibility to do their homework. One should go into this surgery knowing as much as possible. My surgery at Norwalk Hospital was great. The nurses on 6 West are the sweetest. I am a nursing major and I hope to someday be just like them! Overall I would rate my surgeon and his staff at a 9 out of 10! Can't say 10 because everyone has room for improvement right??? That's why we're doing this surgery!

Dr. Ehrlich, Dr. N. Floch, Dr. C. Floch are fantastic. The office staff is outgoing and extremely helpful. Danielle, the office surgical physician assistant (PA-C), is equally great. My impression is that they go above and beyond to accommodate all of there patients. Pre and post surgery Dr. Ehrlich makes himself available whenever you need him. If he is not available the Floch's will give you the same great care. They spend as much time with the patient as needed, answering any questions you have. If I had to grade the Floch Surgical group, thus far they would get an A+. I highly recommend anyone considering Bariatric surgery to attend one of there informational seminars and follow up with an appointment.

Dr. Ehrlich and his staff are incredible! They are all very caring, supportive and very positive. They're very upfront with you about what will happen, what night happen and what effect it will have on you. You know what could happen without being frightened. The office runs support groups twice a month that are very informational and interesting. I would, and have, recommended a few friends to them. Dr. Ehrlich has made a huge difference in my life.

I first met Dr. Ehrlich at a support group meeting for bariatric surgery. He was enthustastic and informative. I like that, I needed to feel I was making the right decision. His staff is very professional and when I had concerns and called the office they were very helpful. After my surgery, when I had a check up, Dr. Ehrlich again told me about the support groups and the web-site. For the surgery he sent me to all the tests he thought I needed and I felt very reassured that everything is working great. My heart, gall bladder, liver, bloodwork, all were ok and I felt so much better. I would rate him as terrific and everyone else in his office. His surgical competence, bedside manner were both great, Thanks, Dr. Ehrlich

Very kind and sincere with wanting to know your personal situation. this is very uncharictoristic for a surgeon. a very pleasant and calming trait. i worked as a O.R. tech in the army and in civilian hospitals and this doctor and the program as a whole seem to put the patient first and the "business" aspect second. i would and have recommended this program to anyone.
