Holy Cross Hospital (COE) Hospital

I wasn't happy with many of the nursing staff. Very difficult to get pain meds when needed. Many times had to wait over and hour past my time for medication. This would have been much better had I had a pain pump that I push as needed. The nurses couldn't be bothered helping my daughter or myself clean up. Just threw the towels and gowns on the bed and left us to fen for ourselves. Not much rest in any hospital due to someone always wanting to take blood pressure, blood or temps.

I arrived for my procedure in the early hour of 5:30. The main entrance was lit up with the most gorgeous stained glass I've ever witnessed. I had Sister Margaret pray with me, the crucifx at my beside, I received communion and was annointed with the rite of the sick by Father Bob. My nurses, Michelle in OP, Linda, Dianne, Sandra, Doreen and Desi treated me with dignity and kindness. I couldn't have asked for better care. Dr. Marema did a phenomenal job too. Thank you too all who made my breif stay at Holy Cross a complete success

SUGERY OF ANY SORT IS A VERY SCAREY PROSPECT, AND THE PEOPLE AT HOLY CROSS ALLOWED ME THE SPACE TO ASK QUESTIONS AND HAVE THEM ANSWERED....I WAS NEVER ONCE SHUFFLED AROUND. THE NURSES WERE ALL VERY KING AND COMPASSIONATE, ESPECIALLY A LOVELY WOMAN NAMED CAROLINE, WHO WAS MY NURSE OUT OF RECOVERY...SHE TOOK EXTREEM CARE WITH A SMILE AND A SOFT VOICE...BLESS YOU HOLY CROSS

My only complaint about the hospital is that I was 4 hours away from home and with my mom, whom was someone I wanted with me even at night. But the nurse, her name was Pat, told me that they don't allow people to stay over, which I thought was really stupid and she said that if my mom stayed with me security would throw her out. She actually made my mom sleep in the waiting room and that just made me very mad. My mom wouldn't go to a hotel because she wanted to be with me but I just felt it was unfair not to let my mom stay with me.
