The hospital is very modern and clean. The people I have been in contact with were very nice and helpful. The nurses that I had the pleasure to be in their care were great and I think they really enjoy their jobs. The parking around the hospital could be better but I don't think any hospital has great parking.
The Bariatric Unit was fantastic. They seemed to care about the patient first and nothing else. I felt like I was in good hands there.
The only problem I had was with the charges and paper trail during my pre-op testing because I was self-pay, but it all got resolved easily enough.
The entire stay, besides being in the hospital was excellent. Although you aren't there to get any rest, they made my stay very tolerable. The day nurses Pam, and Barb were the best
This hospital was a bit far from my home and it was hard for my family to come and visit me, butI was never lonely, cause they have one particular CNA on the bariatric floor named Sonia. She is awesome. She makes you feel like you are a member of her own family and she always seems to be right there when you need her. I couldn't have asked for a nicer nurse.
The nursing care I received at Shea far exceded my expectations. Everyone took an ACTIVE part in my recovery. Very encouraging and supportive!
The hospital itself is located in a nice area of Scottsdale, with hotels close by for those that are coming into the area from out of town. Everyone is very friendly at the hospital and it is very clean. The parking was the only challenge, they need to improve upon that Sometimes you have to park quite a ways from the entrance. I would recommend this hopital to anyone.
It was a good experience to have so many caring staff who are trained to work with bariatric patients.
It's a nice hospital with a floor dedicated to bariatric patients. The staff was competent and other than a "needy neighbor" my experience was very positive.
