The only down side was the noise, even at night nurses were rustling around, dropping things, clanging and banging, but this was the only negative I had with this hospital!!

I was extremely impressed with this hospital. Prior to surgery the whole process was so through and ran like clock work. Once in my room, my nurses were extremely knowledgable. I had one nurse that was wonderful and I couldn't wait to see her the next day when her shift ended. My nurses made sure I was up and walking as often as possible. They also made sure I was drinking as much as I could. I was confident things would go well at home when I left there. Thanks for the awesome experience.

Terrible pain management - I had to ask for pain medication - a hospital policy that I think is in place to make things easier for the staff. I'd wake up in the middle of the night in agony because I could not have my pain medication brought to me every 3 hours -- I literally had to ask them for it when I needed it.

My experience was very, very good. I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Baker and his practice have a remarkable program. I am quite fortunate to have found them.

I was very impressed with the bariatric wing --private rooms experienced nurses etc...never had to ask for a med; it was just like clockwork they kept me comfortable until the IV was out.

I am so glad that I took my time to research the hospitals because I still feel I got the best care possible at Unity. I have since talked to other locals who have had wls and their programs come up short. I would recommend Unity to anyone who cares how they are treated and want less complications than other hospitals.

The bariatric staff was trained very well in dealing with post-op patients. I was impressed.

Had an overall good experience. Couple of weird things happened. One, they kept taking my blood sugar readings. I was out of it the first day of surgery, so didn't say anything. Second day I asked why they were doing it, nurse said because I have diabetes...I don't have diabetes. She called my surgeon right away and apologized saying that they had thought I did. Second thing that happened was on my first night there, lab person came in to draw blood for cross and match for blood I was to be given. Again, I was out of it, so I just gave her my arm for blood drawn. I had said that I didn't lose that much blood, but didn't question it further. When my nurse for the night came in, I asked why I was going to get blood. She said that it was a mistake on my chart. I told her they drew blood and she apologized. Other than that, very good nurses and staff, very willing to help with pain management.

I had no problems with anything or about anything while at this hospital. I loved the staff. Everyone was so interested in my well being and getting me through surgery and post-op. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.
