The staff seem generally overworked and didn't seem very sympathetic to me at all while I was there.

All but one of my nurses were so wonderful I cried when leaving because I was so greatful. They were so caring, quick, and professional. My surgeons came early in the day for their rounds which was nice so I could relay info to my family. I would highly recommend this hospital!!

I was informed of everything going on. I knew what was and did happen. I felt I had control of the situation many times you feel helpless, not the case at the University of Chicago.

The staff was wonderful and so were the doctors and nurses. They couldn't have done a better job.

I only wish I lived closer to Chicago so that whenever my loved ones or myself needed a hospital, we could use this one. I, almost, hated to leave!!

I can not say enough good things about the nursing staff at the U of C. Fantastic, caring people!

I trust almost everyone at UofC Hospital. I have had only one bad experience there, but the doctor in question was later replaced. I do know that "a student" in the ER saved my husband's life in August 1998 ... I will be forever grateful to him for diagnosing my husband's condition and ensuring he received immediate treatment!!

As long as you don't mind driving right by the old Caprini Green, it's a cool hospital.
