You may be thinking..."should I go to the hip hop class?".  Maybe it's been a while since you busted a move on the dance floor?  Well, don't worry if you think you can't dance.  (Everyone says that by the way).  This style of hip hop dance is very basic and incorporates repetitive movements to great music that just makes you want to dance!  We won't be break dancing or anything, so don't worry!

I wasn't always a hip hop instructor. In fact, four years ago, I could barely walk up the stairs in my house! Then one day...I took a chance and went to a group exercise hip hop class.  All it takes to enjoy a hip hop class is to allow yourself to have fun.  Come on!  Give yourself permission to cut loose and shake what your mama gave you!  It's just you and the music.  Check out the video clip below.  It shows one move repeated over and over again.  You can modify the movement to Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 (with level 3 being the most difficult).  I will demonstrate the variations during class, so you can work at the level that is right for you.   We will "add on" to each movement creating combinations of moves called "blocks".  A typical routine will have 2 or 3 "blocks" in it.  Before you know it, you will be rocking a hip hop routine like never before!

What do you wear?  Tennis shoes are a must, other than that, wear whatever you can dance in.  Shorts and a t-shirt will work just fine!  Throw on a baseball hat, or a bandana if you want!  Have some fun and add your flava!  We'll talk more about that soon!  For now, just know you don't want to miss this AWESOME class!  It's the most fun I have ever had burning some serious calories!  I am looking forward to seeing you all there!
