Did you call your health care plan to see if they cover reconstructive surgery? You can also call plastic surgeons in your area to see if they take your plan. I am not in Ohio so I do not know any surgeons there. Good luck.

If you had your surgery in your current area, I would ask at that office - there is a limited amount of surgeons *****ally specialize in this area.  They would prob know.

Just out of curiosity:  what does the unprovoked attack on protein shakes have to do with your question?  Is there a connection btw the two things?

I was wondering the same thing...lol!! I have lost the same amount as the OP and have kept mine off for 7 years. Maybe mine does not count because I drink protein shakes??

You could check with St. Elizabeth in Youngstown.  There are a lot of surgeons in Pittsburgh which might be about the same distance for you.

  • I think this is AWESOME!  You have done really well and should celebrate it. So many people yo-yo diet!

I hope you can tell us more about your plastics [i.e. cost and experiences, before and afters] in the near future!

Get wanting the excess skin off. Good for you for keeping the weight off...

I have to ask...how exactly were you taught to "eat right?" I am always willing to learn something new....

I don't think too many insurance plans cover tummy tucks. They may cover a panniculectomy, which basically just cuts the excess off. Not as aesthetically pleasing as a tummy tuck but if it's for health reasons (and that's pretty much only way insurance is gonna pay) it's worth it.
