How long was your insurance wait?

How long did you wait before you heard back from your insurance company? I have read that some posters called their insurance company numerous times to get an update on their claim. I feel like that will be me when I submit my paperwork in a few weeks.

How am I going to function while waiting to hear from them? Ahhhhhh

Two weeks seems to be the average around here.

Some people call frequently and argue that the proverbial squeaky wheel gets the grease. I'm inclined to think that being patient and polite is going to endear you far better.

My wait was about a week. And it's the longest week ever!

I was lucky. Only took a week for me!

It took me over a month. But that was because there was a mixup in my doctor's office and the insurance company claims they didn't get the correct information. Had I not called, I would have had to wait longer. It was frustrating for me, and I called a lot (although I was really really nice, and kept apologizing, but the Customer Service people told me I could call everyday if I wanted to hahaha).

Once all the paperwork was straightened out, I got my approval in about 15 working days.

hi there. Well my information was supposed to be submitted to insurance  Friday but when I called today my doctors office said they didn't get the FAX from my psychiatrist  yet and they needed it before they could submit.  I called my psychiatrist I had my evaluation with and they said it was sent on Friday on the 27th. I even verified FAX # with them. She was polite and said she would resend it and stayed on the phone with me until it said it was complete. I called my doctor's office back but I didn't receive an answer so left a voicemail saying it was resent and asked if they received it. Hopefully they call me tomorrow and said they submitted everything. ;-)
