I now have a date of Jan 24th, 2011, with Dr. Boyce in Knoxville.

Southern Lady have you had any other bariatric surgery other than the DS you are going to have? Thank you

Karen, this will be my first and ONLY surgery as I have only one bite at the apple. That is all I am allowed. So I am chosing the DS as my "bite". :)

May I ask why you are asking?

Just wondering since I had the RNY and now need more help...I really do not want to have another surgery but...I need to lose weight also..Thank You i wish you everything good with your sugery..

Ok, good luck on your quest. I wish you the best. Revision is not an easy road but a worthwhile one if it can be done.

Just ask away of those who have gone that route already as they are your best source of info but we are all ready to listen.

Have you checked the revision board or I think there is a failed weight loss surgery board, used to be. Keep coming to this DS board and read what others have had to say about revisions. I, myself, had a revision from RnY to DS in May 09, had the RnY in 04/05. Gained most of my weight back. I went to Dr. Keshishian in Delano, California, and couldn't be happier. He is one of the best for revisions. Many have traveled from far away to see him. I wish you the best in your endeavor to get healthy.
