Canadian Protein

Hi Everyone,

I hope you're all having a nice day.

I ordered some samples online from Canadian Protein and they arrived today. I was so pleased to find the company because it has free shipping in Canada, something i hardly ever find!

I ordered 100% Whey Isolate, 1 packets of each of these flavors:

Chocolate peanut butter, Cappuccino, Mint Chocolate, Banana Cream Pie, Chocolate Milk Shake, Canadian Maple, Cinnabun, Strawberry, Strawberry/banana, Cookies and Cream, and Unflavored/Natural .

Has anyone tried these?  The packets don't say how many servings are in each packet; I'm guessing at least 1, maybe two.

The back says each scoop, or 30 gram serving,  has 27 grams of protein, 1 gram of sugar, 1 gram of carbs, 1 gram of fat, and 121 calories.  It says it can be mixed with 8-12 fl ounces of "your favorite beverage".

Looking forward to trying them after surgery.  If I like them, I'll order more.

I also wanted to get the sample pack from unjury but our dollar is so low right now, and shipping is only free in the US.  Is it worth it to pay more for unjury?

Thanks,

Kathy

I really liked Canadian Protein, before surgery.  I bought a great big thing of unflavoured whey isolate figuring it was unflavoured right..

Absolutely cannot stand it post surgery.  Like can't even be in the same room as the bag if it is open.

Sigh.. I loved their products and their prices before.

Oh no; such a bummer!  I am not going to taste it until after surgery so hopefully I'll like it.  What protein do you like now?

What Dundreggan says happened to me as well.  Your tastes seem to change after surgery.  I have tried the samples from Canadian Protein and found that when I weighed them they were different weights so I just multiplied the weight by what their website said for a serving.  Samples are great for newly postop because it lets you try in small quantities.  For me anything coffee flavoured is my favourite now and would not have been preop.  Dynawhey offers samples through I think it's the windirect website.

I'm sorry the same thing happened with you.  Thanks for telling me about Dynawhey; I appreciate it.  I agree, sample sizes are great.  I'd hate to buy a big container and let it go to waste if I hate it.

I did the same and bought all kinds of these samples and though I haven't tried it yet, I was disappointed that 30g makes a shake and most of the packs have like 20-25g in the samples. I felt robbed lol

Only 20-25 g? That sucks, they should at least give a whole serving size as a sample. I was pretty disappointed when they didn't put the amount on the packet.

yeah! I know right? That 20-25g is INCLUDING the weight of the package too. So now I have no idea how much water to add. Sigh. First world problems.

LOL; I know what you mean.  I guess we can add a bit less liquid, taste it and add more if needed.  You'd think they'd make sure that at least one full scoop was in each package.

i have ordered from them a few times and loved the unflavoured after surgery i found it to  truly be unflavoured and i couldnt tell it was in my foods.  I used it for 8 weeks after my surgery added it to everything i was eating. Just make sure you do not add it to anything over 140 degrees or it clumps.   I love the cappichno and the strawberry banana.
