How many protein drinks a day do you drink?
Just curious. I have been doing 2. One in the morning, and one at night. In my morning protein I also mix a serving of Benefiber to make poopies.
Im thinking that if I have a day where I am eating meat for lunch and dinner, maybe I dont need that second one? Im only asking because I started on the noticable hair loss phase... I see it in the shower after I wash my hair.
I have read a number of threads discussing the lack of absorbtion we have for hydrolized protein and now it is fat?
From my research it is protein that has been chemically broken down, some call it partially digested, the idea is that by breaking the protein into some of the base ammino acid chains it will absorb faster. Beware that unless the hydrolized protein contains all of the required ammino acids the quick absorbtion will not work.
This form of protein is typically used by body builders and other atheletes as a post workout protein source. I would be intrested in reading articles describing the lack of ability for malabsorbtion to absorb a broken down form of protein.

The reason we do not absorb it is because it is collagen protein (a crappy protein with a PDCAAS score of near ZERO) -- mixed with some small amount of whey protein just for marketing purposes -- and is WITHOUT all the amino acids needed to absorb even the crappy protein that IS in it.
My bodybuilder friend laughs about it -- wondering who it is that is buying it (and now, thanks to me, he kbows it is unsuspecting WLS folks) -- because THEY all know it's crap and won;t touch it!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Ok, I am batting zero here. I was also told collagen is fat, which is why the consistency is the way it is.
I am shutting up now.
Off to go camping and re-think being so vocal.
ETA: I looked it up. This is another "my NUT said it's so and I believed her"
Both collagen that is found in gelatin and this are derived from the same source. My bad. Again...I ain't speaking anymore on this because I obviously need to read up more on it.
