This is a crosspost:

Hello All,

I had been more sick since 4th of July since I had RNY 5 1/2 years ago. I went to my Primary Care Physician this morning. He diagnosed me with Lyme Disease. I will be on antibiotics for 3 weeks. He said it seems we caught it early which is a good thing.

The reason I am posting this is to see if anyone post op has had to deal with this. If so, any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

One interesting thing is as a result of appetite I have lost 5 pounds....still how I have felt is not at all worth it!

I was diagnosed with Lyme last summer.  I spent like 5 weeks going to urgent care and my own doc, having them suggest Benadryl and being prescribed steroids before they even tested me.  And they really only tested me because I could barely walk (bite site was on my knee).  I took doxycycline for a month.  There was really nothing that I did differently and it didn't affect my weight loss/menu/etc.  I hope you feel better!  That **** was no fun.  LOL

The mother of my step son... Was a 37 year old very active, fit, healthy woman. She began to feel ill last year, she went to so many Drs and nobody could find out what was wrong with her. They ended up treating  her by winter time with rheumitoid arthritis OR lupus. By that time she could not form words, could not walk for long, had trembles and could not stop shaking everywhere . She finally was diagnosed with lymes disease and began strong treatment, she is improving everyday and just this last week was able to return to work. I'm glad they diagnosed you quickly.
