Good morning. Only been at work for an hour and already freezing...I need to start bringing blankets or maybe haul my winter coat out of storage. Decided to start monitoring blood pressure. This morning 88/58. I wonder if that has any impact on my always being cold. been back at work for 2 weeks since my South Carolina vacation and I think the week in Charleston was the only time I wasn't complaining about being cold. My husband and I are having thermostat wars at home.

Good week so far. At 145 which seems to be good for me. Put my size 6 pants away last night. solid size 4 and this is where I would like to stay.

QOTD: Nope, can't say it happens frequently.

I don't think you are cold because your blood pressure is low. But low thyroid can cause low blood pressure and cause you to feel cold too.

Though I am hypothyroid, I have been boiling hot for at least the last 10 years. One of the reasons I was looking forward to my RnY was to feel cold again! But no such luck, at least not yet! At age 63 I am virtually always hot. I can't even straighten my hair anymore - it's useless, since within 5 minutes it poofs out again, due to the heat and humidity of my own personal equatorial atmosphere! It has to be a really cold night with no heat on inside for me to feel anything but hot. But I do remember feeling frequently chilled while dieting when younger. Maybe that will happen again once my weight drops into a leaner range.

I have a small ceramic heater at work... it runs every minute that I sit in here, no matter the weather outside!

I am hypothyroid, but have had it under control for a few years now... I wasn't cold all of the time prior to WLS... It's a common phenomenon with recent weight loss, and I've been told that 'we' will acclimate as time goes on... I'll let ya know when I hit that point!

At 15.5 months post-op I don't have the chilled to my bones feeling I did for the first few months after WLS, but I do get cold easier. I think now it is because I don't have the insulation I used to...

Good morning friends! Another beautiful hot day here in Texas. My car told me it was 100 as I drove into work at 8:30am. Crazypants!

Instant Pot yogurt folks...question...why would it come out chunky looking? It tastes fine but looks weird. I read online a few places that it can be from using too much starter. I do tend to dump in more than the recommended 2 tbs...I didn't know it would make it get weird. Have you ever had chunky issues?

QOTD: I see things in stuff lots. My Guy sees stuff to but we see things differently for sure. ME: Look, that looks like a kitty with yarn; GUY: Oh... yeah, and see the dog about to eat the kitty? LOL

Accountability: I have been doing well. Did lots of meal prep Tuesday night and that has helped keep me focused. I have been trying to avoid artificial sugars as I try to sort out what causes my episodes of low blood sugar. I haven't had an episode in several days now so I think it might be helping.

Menu: B: Homemade Greek yogurt with 1/2 cup grapes; L: Shredded BBQ pork and left over salad; D: Left over salad, mini muffin tin meatloaves (trying to make this for the first time tonight...hope it goes well); S: 1/2 grapes; ES: peach

Mine came out chunky too.... I was going to try less time. I made yogurt for years pre-IP and never had a chunkiness problem.

too much starter is supposed to make it not firm up not lumpy. As far as I know.

I did the cold method just dumped fairlife milk in added starter and hit yogurt button. Are use 2 tablespoons of yogurt starter.

Even pre-IP my yogurt always came out fine without heating to 180°. If Alton Brown of good eats says you don't need to do it, I believe him. LOL. The milk is pasteurized already.
