Many of you have heard my gospel many times before. But it is truley the "one" thing that made a big differance for me. I have the same resrtriction right now that I had at month 4.

I get many PM's that it has worked for others.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Always under eat your sleeves capacity!

Eating fixed/measured amounts of food that is "under" your sleeves measurement.

Measure by Volume... not weight...your sleeve was sized for volume....not weight....your sleeve does not know how much things weigh.

Eating till your full is how we got "FAT"

Advantages:

- Your satisfied

- Your not gonna get sick/foamies/vomit

- You will not stretch your sleeve (people say you can't stretch your sleeve "Bull****") Your going to want that restriction when you get to maintenance. This is more important to all of you that have 36f and larger. The larger the sleeve..... the more stretchy tissue is retained.

This is what has worked for me and has been confirmed by my surgeon as a proper approach to long term success.

I posted this in the spirit of Jimbo's post. If all of us at goal can share a "secret" on how we lost the weight than everybody benefits.

Curious, what's your total volume number? 6oz, 8oz?? I'm not sure of the size of my sleeve, guess I need to check with my surgeon on my visit this coming Thursday.

Great information.  Thank you, Frisco.  My sleeve is 36 f.  I asled when I went for the three mos check up.  Yes, it makes a difference to only eat till you are full not stuffed.    I am now six mos post op, and can eat three turkey sausage, where I could eat two before.

Thank you Frisco. I really needed that. I am 4mos out and I know I can eat more than when I started but I really don't measure...bad to say huh. How do you measure when you are on the go...any comparisons etc. Like tonite, I ate a piece of salmon the approx the size of my palm. Now, chicken is much more difficult to eat so I eat less of it when I do. I tend to love tofu and only eat it in hot and sour soup.
I would appreciate any input you can add to that as far as measuring. Thanks

I travel a lot and use the "Deck of Cards" method. A deck of cards is about 3oz.

You do have to use your imagination with odd shaped food and things like veggies....you have to imagine what it will chew down to.

Sublimate has posted a great way with pre measured bowls.

Hope this helps.

I use little sauce bowls from target that I know are 1/2 cup exactly, so I don't have to use a separate measuring cup.
