Success!! frustrating journey so far is totally worth it..

I just weighed myself for the first time in a week..

I've been stuck at around 203lbs for a couple weeks..

my weight loss has been very.... picky? i don't know the word. stopping and starting. constantly. more stopping than starting.. i never lost more than 6 or 7 lbs at a time.. and i lost 13lbs in a week... that's insane. It's been really frustrating... i'm a little over 8 months out now and down 60lbs since surgery... 95lbs since my highest weight (in december 2010 i was about 285lbs..) I lost 35lbs pre-surgery.

I haven't been under 200lbs in 3 1/2 years... since i was 13... This is amazing.

It's totally worth it. A lot of people have questionined a 15/16 year old getting wls... but... I honestly don't think i'd be doing so well without it.. Not only did the surgery help me, but having the surgery helped me find doctors that were better at dealing with my health issues, than the ones i had been going to my whoel life... and i got diagnosed with things i didnt know i had, through the process of surgery.. and i'm now getting treated (hypothyroidism, PCOS, and sleep apnea.. i knew i was diabetic and had hypertension) which i probably wouldn't have found out, otherwise..

yep. life is good.

Congrats on arriving at One-derland!    I have been stuck between 200-205 for 2 months now.   I think I am going to do what you did and not weight myself for a week or more.

Great job!!!  It seems like you have a good head on your shoulders, especially for being so young!  I think it's awesome that you took control of your health at such a young age.

The highs wouldn't be be as good without the lows that come with this process :)

Im the same way, but when we hit some milestones and the NSVs - makes it worth all the frustration. Keep up the great work !!!!

What an amazing and strong young woman you are! I wish you all the sucess in the world. By taking such a drastic step so young you have completely changed the course your life was going to take. I am sorry to hear of all the other health issues you have, WLS won't cure everything. But it will make it all easier and prevent a whole slew of other health issues. Good luck to you in this and in everything you want in life.
