Finding food to eat lately has been extremely hard for me. I can eat chicken, and different types of salads. (like green leafy salads, iceberg, coleslaw type (minus the slaw sauce) and I can eat a little cheese and those tuna packets. Outside of these

My vit. D was only 10 so Now I'm on D3 capsules. Much smaller than I thought, and if I open them up it has the crushed powder inside. Having some big trouble swallowing them. I took one and it feels like it sits in 1 spot for 30+ min. I doubt it is, bu

Got bloodwork done, other than my cholesterol being only slightly high (just .4 over normal) my Vit. D was 13. Yes I know that is extremely low and normal starts at 30. I have always had trouble with my vit D even before surgery, but now it's even hard

I have officially hit my first mini goal today. 250 lbs is where I'm at right now. I told my husband once I hit 250 I would have a little celebration. I'm so happy to be here right now, and while it's been hard. I'm proud of myself. I may still have tr

I find there are so many foods I just can't handle now. I was somewhat lactose intolerant before, now I'm VERY lactose intolerant. I can't handle mayo, certain mustard, anything breaded (like chicken), eggs (unless it's eggbeater brand), bread is even

Some things I have noticed now that I'm 7 weeks post-op.

  1. My bottom feels like it has zero padding anymore, no matter how little i sit, where I sit, it doesn't stop reminding me that my body is changing and oh my gosh does it get sore.

I've had the inability to have a BM (sorry TMI) for over a week now. So I went and got some Milk of Mag. I took the recommended 4 tbl dose (this stuff is gross beyond all thought, it was so hard to get down without it coming right back up) I'm really h

Husband and I went to the store around midnight to pick up a few things of powerade zero, some yogurt, cottage cheese, and some stuff for him. Probably spent around 10-15 min walking. Came up to the front of store and had to stand in line. While I was

Woke up this morning and weighed in at 267. That's 28 lbs down from 296 is what they had listed for me a little before surgery. For the first time in years I didn't wear sweats to the store. I was in a pair of pants that used to feel a lot tighter than

Nothing sounds good. I try eating what is avail. to me and nothing tastes good. I can drink hot liquids without too much trouble, but trying to get in just water has been an issue for me. When drinking just water or even some powerade zero, I get these
