Dr. Steven Reyes, EdD, has specialized in bariatric psychology since 2005, working with thousands to achieve and maintain long-term health. Affiliated with multiple Centers of Excellence in southern California, he conducts pre-surgery psychological assessments and educational classes, with his curriculum used by hospitals for two decades. Dr. Steve's compassionate coaching helps patients nationwide address post-surgery challenges. An active weight loss surgery community member, he is dedicated to helping individuals implement and sustain long-term behavioral changes, with his zest for health and life evident in every interaction.

Dr. Tro Kalayjian

Obesity Medicine Physician

Dr. Tro Kalayjian is a board-certified physician in Internal and Obesity Medicine, a founding member of the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners (SMHP), and co-host of the LowCarbMD podcast. He has a personal connection to obesity, having faced childhood obesity and struggled with weight loss himself. Weighing 350 lbs as an adult, he extensively researched and rejected conventional dietary advice to lose 150 lbs and transform his health. Determined to be the doctor he wishes he had, Dr. Tro built a practice focused on combating obesity with an evidence-based approach. Having personally dealt with the deep emotions of being overweight for most of his life, Dr. Tro is able to connect with his patients on a different level.

Dr. Csilla Ari D’Agostino

Neuroscientist/ Researcher

Dr. Csilla Ari D’Agostino is a neuroscientist with more than two decades of experience exploring neuroplasticity, metabolism, and brain health. With a multidisciplinary background in comparative neuroanatomy, molecular biology, and physiology, she has authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, a book, and multiple book chapters and holds several patents.

Her scientific path began with a focus on brain structure and function, leading to advanced research on Alzheimer’s disease at the Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute at the University of South Florida. There, she studied neurotransmitter and neurotrophin receptor activity using cell culture, gene transfection, and advanced microscopy to better understand how the brain responds to stress, aging, and therapeutic intervention.

She went on to expand her research into metabolic therapies, including ketones and hyperbaric oxygen, with applications for conditions such as ALS, anxiety, seizures, and cancer. These studies helped advance the field of nutritional neuroscience and contributed to several of her patents.

Dr. Garth P. Davis

Bariatric Surgeon, Medical Weight Loss Physician

Dr. Garth Davis is board-certified in both medical and surgical weight management and has been helping people lose weight for over 24 years. He is the author of “An Expert's Guide to Weight Loss Surgery” and “Proteinaholic.” He has served as the medical director of bariatric surgery at Memorial City Hospital in Houston and Mission Hospital in Asheville and recently served as medical director at Houston Methodist’s Center for Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery. He is a recognized expert on diet and nutrition and gives talks on the benefits of plant-based diets both across the country and internationally.
