Topic: OUCH!!!
I had my Panni, and my surgeon even snuck in some muscle work as well. None of that hurts half as bad as the muscle aches from being hunched over. OUCH!!! And I've got a headache from laying in the same position for three days. LOL
Why didn't I think of all this before?
I also wonder how people take pics of themselves standing straight so soon after surgery. I can't stand straight without ripping stitches, and that would be a bad thing.
Anyway, I'm doing really good, and I've got a flat tummy!!! What a trip!

Topic: RE: how many calories?
Stacy, my daily calories run anywhere between 500-800 calories and protein between 60-90 grams (whi*****ludes 1 drink or bar a day). I also try to keep my carbs below 20 (doesn't always happen) but for the most part they have been under 35.

Topic: RE: how many calories?
Hi Stacy,
I'm eating about 860 calories per day according to fitday.com. I still track things 5 out of 7 days per week to keep me honest with myself. I don't measure things out before my meal, but do know what it is that I have planned for the meal. 47% of my day is protein, 23% is carb and 30% are fats.
Hope all is going well with you,

Topic: RE: Good Morning
Hi Everyone, I don't check in as often as I should. I spend a lot of time on the OFF (Over Fifty Forum) but think of all you February Surgery Buddies often. I started at 377 lbs and now weigh 226 for a loss of 151 lbs. I'll let someone else add it up, I'm mathematically challenged and I'm sure I wouldn't do it right! Congratulatons to everyone. I feel so much better than I did almost 9 months ago. I go for my almost 9 mo post op in Seattle this coming Monday. Can't wait to get the lab reports and see my doctor and staff. Karen

Stephanie, Isn't this surgery amazing? You are literally transformed! I envy the fact that you were able to have this surgey while you were still young! I am eternally grateful that I have had it even tho I wish I were 20 years younger! Oh, well, spilt milk. I'll take what I can get and it is indeed much better than it was almost 9 months ago. Best wishes, Karen
