Topic: looking for size 8 or 9 pants...
I'm looking to find some size 8 or 9 pants for work, whether casual or not.
Someone from our local messageboard suggested I post here seeing if anyone has any they are trying to get rid of.
I've gone from size 20/22 down to size 8/9 since February and it's like every 3 weeks I'm wearing baggy pants LOL
Thanks.
Stephanie

Add me to the list too. I've bought umpteen cardigan sweaters since surgery in February in 4 different sizes LOL! I've been freezing for the most part in air conditioning in most stores and public places. I carry a sweater in my car, have one at my desk at work, and have a thicker one at my desk at work in case.

Topic: RE: Has anyone taken a vacation since surgery?
I haven't been on a "real" vacation since surgery. But I have taken a few weekend trips, but they were by car. I took a small, soft cooler with me to keep water, Hawaiin Punch lite and my milk I drink. Then I made up protien powder scoops in snack baggies, which I add to the HP and Milk. That way I had what I needed.
I find when I am away like that I have a harder time keeping to my water like I should. I just get so busy and occupied! I do my best to keep my protein up, though. Plus I figure if my calories dip low a couple of days it can't hurt me! As long as my water and protein stay high.
Hope you have lots of fun! I love to travel.
Hugs, Susan

This is what I did when I went to the Mt. I measured out bags of powder and put them in my bag. And when I went to the store I got a bottled water and just added it to that. I worked out good for me. but if you really dont want to take that powder. I think that the bars would be fine.

Susan, I'm so happy for you, with all you experienced early on, I am sure you are proud of your progress and indeed you should be. You are getting close to your goal and the PS will probably help you surpass your goal. I to need some PS - arms, breast, TT and legs but as I also will be a self pay, I'll have to do it slowly. My surgeon recommends waiting 18 months after your weight stablizies so I probably won't start any consultations until summer of 2006. I am looking to have the batwings and my breast done first. I hope not to have to have implants but since I think the last 10 lbs came from my breast, I think it is inevitable.
Wish you lots of luck finding a surgeon you are comfortable with.
Hugs,
Dana
Topic: Has anyone taken a vacation since surgery?
Help, I am going to take a trip to the Grand Canyon & Los Vegas. I'm nervous about getting in all my protien for the day? I am taking bars with me and I don't want to take shakes with me. I know what I need to eat, protien first. I guess this is just getting me out of my routine that I have built since surgery. I am doing well with what I am eating and I am afraid I'll mess up this wonderful weight loss. I leave early thurs. morning. Thanks for your help. deb k
Topic: RE: Plastic surgery consultations!
I'm already scheduled for my plastics on November 11th. I actually had my preop today. I pity the poor girl that had to take the pics!
I went last month for my consultation and got a date right away. of course I am self pay so I'm sure thats got a lot to do with it. My insurance wont cover any of it, but I was expecting that. I dont have rashes or sores and my tummy doesnt hang down to my crotch, so it really is just cosmetic for me. But itll boost my self esteem so that makes it more than worth it.
I'm having a breast(lollipop incision) lift w/ augmentation (silicone under the muscle), limited incision brachioplasty (incision is a half moon shape inside the armpit only), and abdominoplasty w/ muscle tightening the incision will be hip to hip, not the anchor cut since my skin wasnt bad enough to need that.
I MIGHT have my inner and outer thighs lipo'd much later, but right now theyre okay and I can live with them and they dont have any excess skin.
I am so excited! I'm getting comfortable with my new thinner self and am trying to maintain my weight at 140-145. I'm wearing 4's and 6's(not many 6, most brands are too loose) on bottom and small and medium tops. I cant remember ever being this size and am just so happy. I have energy, I'm healthy, and things couldnt get much better!
Good luck on your plastics!

You know, Stephanie....you can dip some folks in chocolate and roll them in nuts they'd still be unhappy!
I think you're sister is probably jealous. Look at how wonderful you look! And you are healthy! And you are getting attention!
I don't know if there is anything you could say or do thay would change her feelings. She could seek out WLS for herself if she wanted to, and I bet you would be a great support for her. But she has to make her own choice, just like we all did.
The fact that you are upset by all this shows what a good sister you are.

Topic: Plastic surgery consultations!
Wow! I can hardly believe it's been 8 months since my RNY!
I am at 179 pounds, still losing VERY, VERY slowly, like 3 pounds this month. I only have 10 pounds to be at my surgeon's goal. I want to end up at 150-160, so I think it should be more like 20 pounds. However, I have a lot of skin around my middle. I was always an apple, big and round!
Anyway, I plan to have my first round of plastic surgery in Feb or March. I want a breast lift with implants (I currently have two empty llloooonnnggg tube socks hanging here!
) and my arms fixed. My weight came off from the top down. My face and upper body is very thin, my ribs show where by boobies used to be.
Everyone tells me I need to quit losing. But 179 is NOT skinny! It's just that my face, neck and chest are so thin. If they could see me naked...whoa, what a sight!
Then in June I will have a lower body lift.
I just found out if I want to have surgery in Feb/March I need to start my consultations in November! Who'd a thought?!
I was going to wait until Jan to even have my first appts.
I have called and have three appt with three differnt surgeons. All three of their offices said that is correct, start now for surgery in spring!
So I am working on my list of questions. My mom is just sure I have a good 15 pounds of skin that will come off. Guess we'll see what the doctors think. My sister had her boobies done and a tummy tuck last year, so I have her offering to help me.
Just wanted to update a little! Anyone else thinking of plastic's yet?
Hugs, Susan
