Topic: who determined your goal weight for you?
I'm just curious if your doctor gave you a goal weight or if you made one for yourself. I just took the highest weight in my normal BMI range and used that. My doctor didn't set a goal for me. I wish he would have though.

Sounds like you are doing fine. I've been on a month and a half/two month plateau.. I got down to 176 (started at 284)...and for the last month or two I've bounced around from 176 to 182 and everywhere in between. My exercise came to a screeching halt in July when my back/neck problems got really bad. I'm kinda at a loss as to what I need to do. Good luck to you.

Topic: RE: Eating More now!
You know, I have the same issue right now. I can eat more, and I have relaxed a bit on the carbs, letting myself have breads. I have been bouncing from 201 - 203 for the last month, and I decided last night that I have to go back to basics. I got rid of all my carby snacks, and the nuts that had been a staple for me. I got some LF jerkey, and promised myself that I would start eating protein first again, and then veggis if there was room. Another thing that I haven't been as vigulent with is the water. I am upping that as well.
Hopefully this will start me losing weight fast again. I hope to be under 200 by the end of the weekend, and I hope to lose perhaps another 20lbs.
I am also starting an 8 week regimine designed to help you learn to run for 1/2 hr. Running can help you lose a gang of weight. So hopefully in 8 wks, I will be able to run for 1/2hr with no prob.

Dana, I am trying to up the protine and water today. So I can get in 60 to 80gr. of protine. and hopfully 80 to 90oz of water. but I will not be able to get much real food in. So I will probably have just shakes today. and maybe some carrots. and of corse my water.

Topic: Neuropathy
Has anyone experienced any problems with neuropathy in the hands or feet? I had a nerve conduction study done today and they told me i have a pinched nerve on the sides of both knees (in the same spot on both legs...weird) and i have neuropathy in my feet. It could be from having diabetes for 11 years (they said that was doubtful though) or a B12 deficiency. I'm hoping it's just the B12. Has anyone else had this problem or had a B12 deficiency??

Faith, I think your food yesterday sounds reasonable, but maybe it is the carbs, I'm very carb sensitive and know that if I don't keep mine below 30, it won't be a good day.
Try upping your water some more, say over 80 oz, lower the carbs, up your protein and restart your body. Our bodies can get comfortable with the same routine and if we shake it up most times it will jumpstart itself.

I am up and down the stairs at work all day I am on the top floor. And I usualy walk to work but I havent been able to lately. I have a back problem. so I guess I dont get in as much exersize as I should. I am going back to my shakes and fresh veg, lean meats. I hope that helps.
the scale went up another pound this morning. 253 again. I really would love to be down by another 50 pounds by feb. 4th I am going to see George in Vegas baby.
