Topic: RE: Is anyone "Cold" yet?
Ok, add me to the "cold" list. I'm always cold!!!
I work at the airport driving one of those carts around. I'm freezing all the time and I'm in doors. I finally broke down and started to wear my winter gloves cause my hands are always freezing. The boss told me i can't wear them....so, i'll have to figure something else out. It's snowing up in the mountains today...ugggg....winter is on it's way. I sorta miss those days of always being HOT....mmm...maybe not.

Topic: RE: Goal Weight Question
I had originally set my goal for 125-135 @5'5. Now that I'm at 145 and have mysteriously gained an inch to make me 5'6. I used to slouch all the time before so I'm sure that had a lot to do with it (along with all that excess weight pulling me down mentaly and physically). Now that I feel normal I stand tall and am very proud of my accomplishments. I dont want to lose more than the extra skin from my tummy tuck. I willl probably have around 10-15lbs removed from my tummy since its REALLY bad, worse than Miss Dollys, (maybe I'll get brave and put em on later hope you guys dont get too grossed out).
My bmi is inside the normal range (the high end, but hey normals normal!). I am very happy with how I look now other than the excess skin and droopy boobs. I still have my hips and enough rear end to keep me from being flat back there, so I'm thankful for that. My body fat is very low already, my surgeons told me to STOP since I actually do have a large frame(hmm I always thought it was just fat, but I like his answer better!) and very little body fat. I guess since I have never been this low I didnt realize what it would look like once I got here. I was probably a good 175 in middle school and was 5'2 (of course it picked up from there)
I would go with what you feel comfortable and healthy with. I think 130 will look great on you. Your 6 month pic you looked wonderful already! I dont want to be gaunt looking and if I lose much more I'll get that way. I didnt realize it though untill I got to this weight. Just get to 130 (youre so close already!) and go from there. I personally think 120 might be too low, but thats just me and remember everyone carries weight differently. My aunt is 5'2 as well and weighs 118 and just looks too thin, almost sick especially in her face. I think she should gain about 5-10lbs just to not look so emaciated.
In the end just go with what youre comfortable with. If you get to 130 and think that you need to lose 10 more pounds go for it, but I really would just wait and see, especially since you want a tummy tuck later. If youre in an 8 now and lose 10lbs(putting you right around 130) you'll more than likely get to a 6. 10 more and a tummy tuck you would probably get in a 2, so keep that in mind too.
Youre doing soo great!!

Hi Maira,

*** I love wearing cords without worrying about starting a fire***
This question seems to get asked on a daily basis so I thought why not just post an answer instead of responding to all the questions all the time
As you can see by my profile, you can add tons.
Doing it this way also saves people from having to follow separate links to picture trails etc...to find your pictures.
Please keep in mind that you should be sure that your files are not too large, and that your pictures also are not too large as this can overload the server and also cause your page to load slowly for people. This can be especially frustrating for anyone on dialup. We want our profiles to be shared, so let's keep it simple for people to be able to view them by keeping our files small enough
This is how I do it, but you can use any photo server of your choice....so here goes, hope it helps some people out, the OH-photo team gets overloaded, so the more of us who can post our own, the better.
I use photobucket.com to add my pics to my profile. It's free and easy.
Just get your username and password set then start adding pics to the site. After they're uploaded, you'll see 3 different text lines under each pic (Be sure that your account is set up to show all 3 codes, go into account options and click yes on all 3). (I also find it easier to resize your photos to the size you'd like BEFORE you upload them to photobucket...this way you know exactly the size they will appear on your profile, ahead of time. I use PaintShop Pro 9, it has some really cool features...you can download a free trial version of this at jasc.com...or you can use something like irfanview, which you can get for free at irfanview.com)
To post a picture in your photo section of your profile, paste the URL that photobucket gives you into the photo boxes in your profile.
To post a pic in the body of your profile, paste the TAG line into your text box of your profile (where you put your updates) NEW If you want to put pictures side by side, and they are small enough to do so, just paste in the TAG line from the first, then put in 1-2 spaces, then paste in the TAG line for the second. (best is if you have them centered also, do this by putting in the HTML code < center > before the pictures (without the spaces) and the HTML code < / center > (without the spaces) after the pictures.
The message board photos though, need to be added by the OH photo team, you can send it to them, along with your user name, user ID# and e-mail addy to [email protected]
If you need these directions at a later time, you can get it from a link on my profile, I decided to add that feature for those who are looking for this information but can't find one of my posts
Good luck and have fun.
Linda

Ginny, you are doing great 6/8's are wonderful. I'm sure with PS I'll be smaller, I just don't like the tired look I see when I look at myself now. I want to feel good but look good also and I'm experiencing lots of tiredness still. I never have gotten the energized feeling some get, who knows why.
I know I need to do more exercise, I do what I can when I have time but with 2 children (5 1/2 & 4), working full time and taking care of the house, sometimes I don't get to do it.
Wishing you the best!
Dana
Topic: RE: Goal Weight Question
Steph, I'm going to go for the 130 goal set by my surgeon but I don't want to get smaller than that. I think I'm looking tired, maybe it's my iron, who knows. I wasn't anemic when I had blood drawn in August but it was on the low end. I'm going to start taking iron and see if that helps.
Yes, I'm happy in a size 8, I really can't complain. Who would have ever thought getting small could be a concern too.
