Thats great news!!!!! Hey, I called my mom when I got into 14s and was jumping around the dressing room like a nut! We all deserve those moments! You should be so very proud of yourself whether they have stretch or not! Great job!!!!! On your sister, at least she was able to be honest with you. I'm sure this is very hard on her seeing you change and not herself. I always felt conflicted when my friends would lose weight and not me. I was happy for them, but at the same time I was upset at myself and let that take over. Of course I never had the courage to tell them what I really felt so I'm sure on more than one occasion I was a real downer for them. Just keep encouraging her in any way you can and be patient. Like I said its a big step that she was honest enough to tell you how she really felt. Maybe thats her way of asking for your help? I hope things work out for you to. Remember shes always gonna be your sister though so no matter what ya gotta put up with her (same for her too) lol! Seriously though, maybe you too could work together with both of you losing weight? Even if she doesnt live nearby maybe try calling and doing a "progress report" to keep you both motivated? Make plans to work out x amount and get in x amount of water and protein with each other and keep each other accountable. It'll work in both your favors! Just b/c she hasnt had surgery doesnt mean she cant start creating a healthier lifestyle right? Of course shes going to eat more than we do so I wouldnt really say too much about that. But exersize, water, and protein are things EVERYBODY thin or large have to watch out for. ANd if she loses weight in the process be sure to give her EXTRA pats on the backs. In her case she might need a little more attention about it right now since she feels like the "only fat one left" Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Krystle

Maria, Try not to let it bother you hun (I know easier said than done right?). Everbodys weight flucuates from time to time. I really doubt that it was real weight that youve put on. Youre probably just retaining some water, our scales can just be a pain and drive us nuts!. I know before I had my hysterectomy, my weight flucuated a good 5-10 lbs before my cycle. Is there any chance that maybe thats whats going on? Have you been eating a lot of salty, sodium rich foods lately? That got me 2 months ago. I had some chinese - garlic chicken I think- well the next day I hopped on my scale and it was up 6 pounds over nite!!! Scared the sh** out of me! Of course by the end of the week the 6 was gone plus 1 or 2 more. I'm sure its something like that with you. Get in as much water as you can till you just float to the bathroom every 5 minutes and that will help more than anything. So maybe you havent lost a 100 lbs yet, but look how far youve come! I read in your profile that you can wear your friends sisters stuff who was always smaller, and that was a few months ago. That right there is a HUGE accomplishment!!!! As long as you keep working your tool, get your protein and water along with some exersize you WILL get out of the 200s. Heck, your pretty close already. I bet youll be in onderland before you know it. Dont you give up on being a flight attendant! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!! My husband works for Delta so we fly a lot. Trust me the flight attendants are not all skinny! Most of them look healthy enough and are probably around 150 or so (my guess is around a size 12 on most of em) Yeah you have some of the stick thin 100 lbs soaking wet girls ya just wanna smack on priciple, but in reality there are not that many that size. The ones you see are all actors on tv. Just keep going out there and trying, dont ever give up on something that you want so bad or youll end up regretting it the rest of your life. It might take some time, but when youre finally on that plane -serving me a drink of course- than you'll forget days like this and everything that youve gone thru will be worth it. Our bodies like to play tricks on us sometimes and we just have to ride with it. Give it a week or two and I bet the weight that youve "gained" (like I said its probly water retention) will be gone and maybe a few more. Were all gonna have ups and downs its just part of the process. Bare with it and you'll come thru fine! Keep us posted and remember -DONT GIVE UP ON YOURSELF! YOURE WORTH IT! If ya do I'll just have to track ya down and kick ya in the butt! Krystle

ok i went to this fabulous sale at Fashion Bug today. Buy one item get the second item for $1...anyway i went nuts in there. i was so excited i got new jeans in a SIZE 12. i can't believe it!! XL shirts and size 12 jeans...the only thing that sucked is i was shopping alone. no one for me to get excited with. luckily i know the women that work there and they were happy for me. and they were the ones telling me to get the 12 because the 14 was too big. i even called and left a message on my mom's machine telling her about the size 12's and she's in mexico until saturday. i'm such a dork!! there is only one bad part to this whole story...i called my sister when i got home to tell her how excited i was and all she had to say was, "yeah i really try to be excited for you but i can't because i'm still fat. you've never been smaller than me and i'm having trouble dealing with that. so i guess i'm the only fat one left." i mean good lord..i've already lost one friend because she was so jealous of my weight loss now my sister is being a poo too. i don't know what to do!! any suggestions??

i've been told so many times not to compare yourself to what other people look like or how much weight other people have lost. you'll get there i promise! don't lose hope...and don't give up on yourself. you're doing just fine. my weight stalls and goes up and down all the time but i try not to let it get me down. you'll get out of the 200's before you know it and you'll be a flight attendant. never give up on your dreams. just think of how far you've come just since february. if you ever need someone to vent to feel free to email me anytime. Besides not finding a job. It seems that my body wants to gain weight I was so close to being out of the 2 teens and I've shot up back to 220. And the doctor's office tells me it my fault. I feel like a loser. It's bad enough everything wasn't going right in my life. But atleast I had the weight lose going. But now I got nothing. I hate the fact that people I know that just had surgery over the summer is almost at goal and I'm no where near 100 pounds down mark. I'm very happy for them. But I'm very upset for me My worst fear is I'll never be skinny, I'll never get out of the darn 200 pound area and I'll never be a flight attendant. Because they do still judge on weight. Sorry to vent. But I just need some encouragment. Maria

Hi all today is my Birthday,36 years old and feeling great!!!! I had my hubby do my measurements last night and was telling him I was frustrated because I've been gaining and losing the same 2 or 3 pounds for about a month. Well I broke out my file that I have all my bills and insurance stuff in (I write my measurements on the front of the file) and was like Oh my gosh 6/25 was the last time I did measurements and documented everything and I've lost 23 pounds since then so it made me feel better. Here are my beginning and current readings: 2/22/05 258 pounds size 24 Bust 50 3/4 waist 46 hips 56 thighs 26 arms R 18 L 17 3/4 9/22/05 168 pounds size 11/12 Bust 42 (-8 3/4 ) Waist 34 1/2 (-11 1/2) Hips 42 1/2 (-13 1/2) Thighs R 20 1/2 (-5 1/2) L 21 (-5) Arms R 13 1/2 (-4 1/2) L 13 1/2 (-4 1/4) I've lost over 4 feet (53 inches)!!!! I'm waiting on insurance approval for a breast reduction and only dreaming about being able to afford a tummy tuck. This is so awesome!! What a birthday this is!!! Janice 258/168/160 goal
