Thanks Dana, now I know I'm not alone about the body image thing. I do get lost in normal size clothes shopping, but it is so great esp. when I try on a larger size and I have to go back to get something smaller. LOL! I was always use to getting it big and hope it will fit. Take care and celebrate the New Us! deb k

Hi Deb, I'm like you I can't believe it has been almost 7 months already. Isn't it a great feeling when the legs don't rub, I use to not wear hosiery because they would cause me to have a rash from the rubbing. I wore them the other day and was amazed, woo hoo felt great. I think most of us have the imagine issue, although we can see ourselves smaller, our mind isn't registering the "New Us". I've heard it takes 2 years for the mind to catch up. I can't wait til that day. Do you find yourself getting lost when shopping, there is so much in the normal sizes to chose from I can't make up my mind, it sometimes overwhelms me. Congrats on the wonderful loss and the New You. Take Care, Dana

Steph, I use the Protein Delite brand I get it from bariatriceating. The shipping is a little high but these are the only ones I like. These are the ones I've tried: Vanilla Very Berry, Tropical Blast, Banana Yogurt, Alpine Chocolate and Strawberry White Chocolate. My favorites are the Alpine Chocolate, Strawberry White Chocolate and Vanilla Very Berry. They all have little pieces in them (chocolate - choc pieces, strawberry w/c has strawberry, vanilla very berry - rasberrys, blue berries I think, banana - banana) They have like 25 grams of protein in them, add the carb countdown 8 grams protein and you get 33 in 1 a day. I've been told our bodies can't use more than 30-35 grams of protein at one time. I told someone on another board I'm on how the protein drinks worked for me -- she was on a 6 week plateau and she lost 6 lbs this week, she was happy. Hope it works for you. Dana

I find it so amazing how the weight is still coming off. When I look in the mirror I still can not believe how different I look. I guess I still expect to see the old me with all that weight still there. As I was walking tonight I did notice my thighs didn't rub together anymore. That is so cool not to make the swishing sound when I walk. Life is so good, and I am so very thankful I could have this surgery. I hope that I will get over the "fat girl" vision of myself, though I don't ever want to go back there again, ever. I also find myself going to the woman's clothing section, when I shop...this is so different for me, I can get in much smaller clothes now. Thanks for letting me share, deb k

Not too worried about once I hit goal...I'd imagine I'll be happy at where I would be at! Just enjoying the ride, you know? No complaints! (smiles) I'm going to keep following your progress, though! That's for sure.

Hey Ladies, I also had a 2 week stall, I started adding protein drinks to my daily regimine and it worked - minus 5 lbs in 8 days. Try tracking your calories and protein. I wasn't eating enough, added 1 protein drink w/Carb Countdown in the evenings and it happened. It must be that time in our journey to face another stall. Best wishes, Dana

Hi Steph, I am right there with ya! I feel like I live on a plateau but then I think, I am wearing size 8 clothes, so I need to keep things in perspective. Here's the plateau buster, hope it helps... Huggs to you, Sharon #1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day #3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day #4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?) peanut butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free soda sugar free jello broths/bullion (sp?) crystal light drinks #5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily
