I'm going on week 2 without any weight loss!! I'm getting frustrated! Does anyone have the plateau buster diet? I'd like to try it and see if it works. I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong...i'm doing everything the same as before. Any suggestions?? Thanks Steph 350/330/191/165

Well, I think it depends on where you are in your WL and what other cir****tances there are. Good luck to you.

Yes, it does feel good to LIVE! It's amazing the things I choose to do now. Not just going out, but small things like when I see some trash on the ground...6 months ago I'd think...okay someone else can pick that up...now I don't even think twice about it! I know what you feel about the fat chick self image. I totally have issues with that, too. Especially when I walk into one of the skinny girls stores like FOREVER 21! Argh! The biggest thing is just when guys try to get my attention, I'm thinking okay? Do I have a bugger up my nose? Why is this guy staring at me?! Can you say lamo?!

I have noticed the sagging and hanging skin and other parts. I've gone down several bra sizes but now they're really sagging...i really hate that! I had so much extra skin on my belly I've almost lost my belly button under all the hanging skin. my niece told me,"oh stephie you have arms like grandma except you're not old." Geez!! So yeah I'm right there with you on the sagging hanging stuff. I still think like the 350 pound girl i was not so long ago...Never believing anything looks right or fits right... This experience for me has been like a new start and an opportunity for me to do the things i've always wished i could do before. It feels great to LIVE...doesn't it!!??

I too went through being denied twice. It was such a depressing time for me. I not only had a physician who did not wholeheartedly support me but also several insurance companies that were very difficult to deal with. I took my case to appeals and found it to be of no good. I wrote several very educated letters for presentation at my appeals case that did not help either. Finally, on my third and final attempt, I succeeded! I changed to a physician who was very supportive and made sure his documentation was exactly what the insurance company was looking for and I also changed to Blue Cross Insurance Company. The two keys you must have is the support of your PCP and insurance company. Diana

Steph, You look amazing urself, girl!!! I know I hate when people say this but I'm gonna say it to you ANY-WAY! You look like a totally different person! Yeah, it's amazing to think that I have a mere 16 pounds til doctor's goal...it's...weird. iT'S KIND OF HARD TO SAY. I still think I'm something in the 200 lbs range! Have u noticed body parts sagging and skin hanging yet?! Argh! It's so gross! Steph, I keep staring at the boobs that sag to the belly button?! and the arms that i can't do anything to hide!!! They look like saks that need to be pumped with a little more air...ugh! Good news is, I love to go out alot now. Socialize and meet new people. I'm not hiding from people anymore. I don't feel ashamed of myself...sagging arms and all! I guess I'm just happy that I don't just exist, I live!

Dana, I can't fit into those size 7/8 pants yet, but the shirt sizes are pretty small...apparently I have a big booty! No complaints! I want to one day fit into size 1 or 3...I can dream, can't I? Wow! You can fit into one leg of ur old pants?! That's amazing! I don't think my size has changed that drastically that I can fit into one leg...but then again...I haven't really tried it yet....hmmm.... I kept all my clothes from my pre-op days...I want to remind myself how out of control I got in just under a year. Wow! You are so close to goal yourself! Congrats. I'm sure ur like me and NEVER thot u'd see the day!

Carmen, I've kept up with ur profile as well..I swear I met u at the hospital, but the dates don't match! I had surgery 2/16/05 and there was a lady that was in the room next door that was ALSO named Carmen...I gave her my awesome victoria secret lip gloss cuz she had no chapstick and extremely dry lips... It looks like u are doing well with ur progression...keep up the awesome progress!!!
