Topic: RE: Dumping Syndrome - My 6 month out!!!
hi beverly:
i love the icons you chose after the trash!!!. what emphasis.
seriously, if you've gone these first six months without dumping i'd say you're doing fairly well. i'm also six months out and although it's been awhile, i did dump a couple times - don't even remember from what.
it's NOT FUN.
i'm glad the tea went down well and i hope you're on a short trip to your new 'normal' - whatever that is. thanks for sharing the info. i'll look out for pretzels with honey mustard, too.
have a great weekend.
hugs
dorthe

Hi Deb,
I thought that is was going to be okay too due to the fact that the sugar count wasn't bad and someone responded to my post being sort of insensitive about staying away from the sugar. I really thought it was okay and I've been trying to be careful as well. Well, I'm glad that you and others may be able to benefit from my post. I guess it's true that the things you go through in life prepares you to help others. Take care.

Hi Beverly, I'm sorry to hear that the pretzels made you dump. My husband just bought the same pretzels and the sugar count wasn't so bad, so I was going to try them, well I'm glad I got your post - this saved me alot of trouble. I too am six months out and haven't dumped - I have been trying to be very careful. I know this was painful for you and you have my prayer, but THANK YOU for sharing. deb k
Topic: Dumping Syndrome - My 6 month out!!!
Hello everybody,
I just had a dump episode a couple hours ago and I felt like I was going to die!!!
I was doing so well and was really trying to avoid eating things that would cause that but this time I had no idea. Now I know what everyone is talking about!!! That mess is horrible!!! My mom prayed for me, my husband prayed for me, and I prayed in the midst of my pain even though I could barely get it out but God heard us!! Never again will I try to eat the nibblet pretzels with honey mustard and onion and the funny thing about it is I hardly ate much of it but as soon as I had the strength to get up it was in the trash!!!

I've had couple pieces of the regular nibblet pretzels before and I had no problems. I feel better but I feel weak and couldn't even eat dinner. However, I was able to drink some hot tea and that went down with no problems.

Hi Kia!!!
I think that you may have hit a nail on the head. I still fall short where the protein is concerned
. I have no choice but to push harder and thanks for the info.

Topic: Feeling good!!
Hello I never really post here just read sometimes, but I had surgery Febuary 23 this year and am down 91 pounds, I cant really tell that much when I look in the mirror, but last night I was going through some of my old clothes, a few size 22 and 20 pants and a 3 x shirt, I couldnt belive it but when I put them on they fell right off!!! I was so excited, and I also could not belive that I was that big, or it just seemed so weird, the clothes were so huge compared to me, and I wonder if thats how big people seen me before, I am doing so good though, I just wanted to write about that and get my feelings out, thanks for listening!!!! Topic: Things are good
Hey everyone...thanks for all the congrats that were sent my way for reaching the -100 pound mark--I truly appreciate everyone and their encouragement!
I started a new job this week and I am loving all the energy I now have! This surgery has really been a blessing in my life. There was no way I would have attempted to work full-time before-my bones and joints just wouldn't take it. Now I come home and NO ACHY joints!!! This is great.
Well, just wanted to share...and oh yeah--the new job is as a librarian, and I'm lovin' it!
Sheila

Topic: 7 months out
Hey guys...i'm 7 months out now and I can't believe how quickly it's gone and how much i've changed in so many ways. I feel so much better...physically and mentally. My marriage is even better...it's so weird how things workout. I've lost a 139 pounds since surgery (159 total). I've lost 7 pounds this week. It's amazing!! I went shopping the other day and bought some jeans!! SIZE 16!! I can't even remember the last time i could wear that size. In February I was in size 30/32 and now I'm wearing a 16. I'm just totally amazed by this surgery and how much my life has changed!!
