WTG Lorraine. Thanks for sharing the update and the info with us. i'm so happy for you and your results. Are you noticing it more in the clothes? I know I am - for sure. Although I keep saying I can wear the same clothes as before surgery - i know they're no longer skintight and i am getting into some smaller sizes as well. again, congrats on the successful six month. take it easy dorthe

Don't beat yourself up. I often have things that aren't the best for me. We have to live life. THis is not a diet we are on here, we are learning to eat more normally. When I go to a resteraunt, I decide ahead of time whether I will be bad, or good. THen I stick to that, compensating when I am bad by being really good the rest of the day. I've lost almost 115lbs now, and I think that at this point, any weight we lose has to be done with a concentrated effort. As long as you are good more often than not, you will be fine!

Excellent weight loss!!! I am a firm believer in listening to what your surgeon/nutritionst has to say about vitamins and calcium. There are many opinions on this board and the only ones that you should listen to is the person that is treating you!! Lisa 371/341/218/140

Thanks you guys! Sometimes you need the opinions of others to realize that some things aren't the end of the world... I was just suffering a huge guilt trip. You helped me feel better and I'll do better next time... still have to fight those head demons, ya know?!?!

WTG on the weight loss!~ Some folks don't take the calcium with the multivitamins only because their multivitamins have iron in them. (mine don't) For example prenatal multivitamins have iron in them too and iron and calcium compete for absorption which is why you avoid taking iron with calcium Kia 5'9" 284/189/155

Surgeon is very happy with my loss of 69 pounds even though the weight has slowed down. He told me not to get hung up on the scale. He said I should notice it more in the clothes and that's important. All labs were great. He says I'm right on track. He answered some questions about vitamins that I was getting conflicting info from this message board on. He said that you can take the multi-vitamin and the calcium vitamins together (someone had said you had to wait 3 hours). The other was about the Viactiv Calcium Chews...he said those are fine (someone said that we could only absorb calcium citrate)...he said the citrate is better, but we will absorb the calcium in the Viactiv vitamins too as long as they have vitamin D).
