Hi Susan Thanks for posting this...I've been stuck since November too. Up and down the same 2-3 pounds...I saw my surgeon on Monday for my one year follow up and he told me to count my calories and really watch my intake. I've done that for 2 days now and my scale FINALLY went down 1/2 pound this morning. HURRAY This surgery was absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself (other than marry my wonderful husband 4 yrs ago). Hurray for us!! Keep up the great job! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Judy

Just wanted to report, and maybe encourage a few of you! I have been holding steady at 173-175 since Nov. I figured that was about as far as I would go, you know? At least without plastic's to remove skin. I was following all the rules, taking my vitamins, drinking 10-12 glasses of water everyday and I exercise 5-6 days a week. I have seen 3 plastic surgeons who all said the only excess fat I had left is on my lower tummy, and most likely only a TT would get that off. Well, in the past week I have lost 6 pounds!!! I have been at 167 for 3 days in a row now. I am unsure what caused this, except I have been busy........and happier........so I think that is it! Plus I realized since I have been busy I dropped my afternoon snack of a power crunch or handfull of peanuts. So, see? If you have been stalled even for months you can kick your weight loss back in, somehow! Today is my birthday, I am 46! I have lost 138 pounds from my highest weight. I am going to the plastic surgeon for my pre-op appt today, I have lower body work being done on Feb 23rd. Isn't this the best thing we ever did for ourselves?!? Hugs, Susan BMI is now 26.9!!

i think the vertigo just comes and goes whenever. many people in my family have it also. all on meds to try and prevent it but it doesn't always work. yep it's like the room is spinning. i hate that feeling!! which brings on the nausea...yuck! i know what you mean about people telling you you're not eating enough. i don't think they get the fact that it's impossible for you to eat anymore. my mom tells me that all the time...but i think that's the italian in her. eat eat eat!! i hope i can get the weight off soon. i'm gonna try the plateau buster diet again. i don't know if it'll work again but i'm going to try. i seem to be having a hard time cooking these days anyway as no food sounds good. except my protein bars and cottage cheese. my hubby is loving it though cuz he can eat whatever he wants those days. he's been deprived of his hamburger since my surgery cuz i don't do red meat at all! oh well. i'll get there soon i'm sure of it...just maybe not by next wednesday! i'm disappointed in myself but no one seems to understand that. i guess i'm just a dork!!

Hey sweetie, yes I went basically all last year without getting sick but since early this year, I've stayed with a cold and then got a stomach virus and then bronchitis and walking pnemonia, I can't wait for January to end, hopefully the rest of the year will be better. Sorry to hear about the vertigo, is it something that can go away or you'll deal with it always? My understanding is dizziness with a spinning sensation, is that what you are having? Hope it gets better soon. Wow next week is your anniverary, I have exactly 4 weeks from today for mine. Girl as tall as you are, you probably don't need to lose any more weight , I wish I had some of your height. I definitely think you'll hit you and your surgeon's goal in the next month. I am still losing *sigh* but still in a normal BMI so I try not to stress about it, but I'm so sick of hearing my husband and mother tell I need to eat, I do eat as much as my pouch will hold and I'm eating 5 times a day (3 meals, 2 snacks) and supplement with protein drinks and powder in my food. Shoot my surgeon's goal was 130 lbs., I wanted to be about 125 and I'm now below that, ok so I'll take 120 lbs and now below that ughhh, not by much but I'm at 119.4 and don't want to get smaller. Thanks for everything Step and tell your husband yep it's the same person . Hugs, Dana Lap RNY 2-21-05 260/239/119.4/130 (5'1")

Cheryl, the weather here in Houston has been so sporatic, one day it's 80 degrees, 2 days later it's 50 degrees. I do believe that has a lot to do with staying sick.

hey there miss dana! sorry to hear you've been feeling ill. i was sick from new years eve on pretty much. some days are better than others. i just can't seem to shake whatever it is. this is the first time i've been sick since my surgery though. except i seem to have vertigo now. i've had it 3 times since the surgery. i have to take meds everyday to try and keep it from coming. it stinks!! anyway i'm almost at my one year anniversary. it's a week from wednesday! wow. i was hoping to make it to my surgeon's goal by then but i'm not thinking that's gonna happen. i'm close though. i have 3.5 pounds to go! and 6.5 pounds to my final goal of 140 pounds! wow girl...i guess you're still having problems keeping your weight on? are the protein shakes not working for you? or are you trying to get below the doctor's goal? just curious. btw...you look great! i showed my DH your pics and he can't believe it's the same person!! Hi Dana, That is a good question because I also have been having more colds since surgery 2nd one now. I used to get broncitis every year, but this year seems more, but it could be due to the wheater I dont know what yours is like but we are having an exceptional warm winter. Lot's of stuff in the air not dought. I also agree I would have this surgery again if I had to it's been a great year dispite the problems I had in the beginning. Take Care Cheryl
