Thanks sweetie! You're gonna be at goal soon! You know what to do!!!! I don't know how big your surgeon made your pouch. But, I know that mine told me they key to keeping the pouch small was to not overstretch it constantly. He gave me a rough guideline of being able to eat about a cup (or 8 oz) by a year out. I think it was something like 4 oz or half cup at 6 months and 6 oz or 3/4 cup at 9 months. I remember something like 1.5 cups at 18 months and that should be the most I could ever eat. Now, this would be dense foods like meat/veggies. Soups and semi liquids go through the pouch quickly and it's normal to be able to eat more. Right now, I can eat 5-6 oz of dense food. I weigh/measure every meal. Some of my fav low cal/low fat/etc meals are lunchables (around 4-5 oz each) and those little tiny cans that you can put in the microwave. I've found the dinty moore beef stew (210 calories) and the hormel chili (290 calories) are my very very favs. I can almost eat the entire 7 oz can. I also get those little 4 oz cups of apple sauce (80 cals and good carbs!!!) to eat as snacks. I figure I'll let the manufacturer measure for me! Start measuring your foods and log your meals into fitday.com. It makes it a lot easier to get a handle on what you're eating and you can spot problem areas. As to exercise, find a buddy to walk with or workout with. It's harder to make an excuse not to exercise if you know someone (your buddy) is holding you accountable or depending on you to exercise with them.

Topic: Forever since I have posted... same issues as everyone
Hi all! Happy new year and new YOU's. I was amazed by GG's wonderful continued tracking of our losses. I have read everyone's posts today (first time in a long time) and I realize I really need to stay in touch and need the support of all you girls and guys. I finally made it to goal this month(then showed a gain), but wonder if anyone else has this problem - when I see myself walking into a store through the glass and I don't realize it's me, I think wow, skinny lucky girl, but then I realize it's me and immediately see flaws. Plus, when I look in the mirror, I see the fat me. When I was fat, I was in what my friend Mike calls Fat Girl Denial and NEVER saw myself as big as I was. My weight is so weird, every month it goes up and down 5-7 pounds and I think oh no, I am going to have to report a gain, but it seems to go down just before weigh in. Then goes right back up. I was 129.5 on the 1st, 133.5 today. AND I have been eating terribly. I NEVER get enough protein or drink enough. AND, yes, I will confess to you all, my sisters and brothers, I have eaten 3, that is THREE bags of Chocolate truffles in the last 3 weeks. And man are they good. BUT I NEED TO STOP. The one thing I am proud of is I usedc to eat fast food 5-6 meals a week. Since surgery, maybe once a month and only something small. I have found that I still throw up alot - at least 2-3 times a week. Especially if I eat chicken or protein that has that kind of thick consistency. It seems like chips and crap go down and stay down but I am terrified of getting into that habit. One thing I have noticed, although haqve not addressed yet, is that when I sit in a certain chair in my living room to watch TV, I automatically think I am hungry and have to have food. Talk about weird - I think at this point it has become a learned behavior. Chair/TV = food. Weird eh? I ahve not exercised ONCE since surgery other than the typical day to day kid stuff. I know if I don't start a program I am a prime candidate for regain and I really an enjoying my size 4 and 5's. Anough with my rambling. I have missed you all. Kim A.

Jennifer so sorry things aren't going great. Yes, make sure to get in touch with your doctor. Remember your health is way more important than any college course. You can go back and take that course any time. Feel better soon & let us know what your dr. says. Elisa
