Xosm you are the bestest ever
How is the ww working for you? Have you noticed a good amount of weight loss?
I'm worried that I will not loose with this system but need to try something.

I am going to include you because I BELIEVE that when you see the numbers you can put it into perspective. By no means do I want people to drop out when they have a bad month [not to mention it makes more work
] ...
How do you like the points so far? I really have found it has helped me so much with what a portion size is [14 potato chips, who knew?]. Sometimes I can eat a whole portion, sometimes it seems like too much food, but I feel so good about what I am learning and about carrying it over to the future when I CAN eat more.
I have been a little bit worried about my protein intake, though. I am considering switching over to core because I think that will help, but I haven't decided yet [I go to my meeting tomorrow and start my week on Thursday].
Good luck with it and THANK YOU for continuing to participate!

Topic: RE: question for the ladies...
I have PCOD and have never, ever had a regular period.
Since WLS I have had one every single month like clock work.
it may sound weird, but I love it, I feel like my body is working normal now and I rejoice in that.
I have a hard time with is cramps.
I've never had cramps before and they wipe me out. I also feel zapped of energy for the first few days
AND, I get so emotional a couple of days before I start, never experienced that before either. I can weep at a leaf falling LOL

Topic: RE: 9.5 months out...do you feel....
I totally understand your feelings and I think they are completely normal for someone who has lost weight in terms of small people, not pounds;) So {hugs} cause, yeah, we all get down ... I personally think it's easier to be down sometimes than to chose happiness ... but I digress ;)
I think I have a couple of advantages with perspective this time around. I lost 110+ pounds in the late 90's and had to deal with the feelings that weight loss and being thin would solve EVERYTHING, and when it didn't, I got despondent and gained all the weight back. I couldn't believe that I was wearing junior sizes and madly in love, getting married and having a kid, but I STILL didn't love myself. I remember being shocked that I was pretty and successful and surrounded by love but I wasn't HAPPY with myself. Geesh, reality check.
I also got denied the first time I applied for surgery and had to wait about a year to finally get approved. Fortunately that left me time to research the surgery [I will admit to being very guilty beforehand on not understanding that WLS is a 'tool' - and only slightly more knowledgeable after the second year] and not see it so much as the ONLY thing that was going to help me. I started therapy a few weeks before surgery in anticipation of what's happening to me NOW. And over the last month or two I am THRILLED with that decision - I honestly think it's the smartest thing I've ever done. I highly recommend it!
I also think it's all how you look at it. Yes, WLS is wearing off and reality as a 'normal sized' person is facing us. But we now have the option of taking away the protective layer of fat and dealing with life; what's that AA mantra - accept the things you cannot change? We, as post-ops, saw a chance to change, TOOK IT [which is just amazing] and have emerged successful. But just because we did this HUGE accomplishment, do we stop? Or do we take a look at the rest and say, 'what's next?'
I wonder a lot if there will come a time that I sit back and am just simply HAPPY with EVERYTHING. And I type out those words and LOL. I'm going to jump on the life ride and hang on till it throws me off - I figure it'll be a whole lot easier weighing 100lbs less!
We're all a work in progress, and we all deserve love and happiness JUST THE WAY WE ARE.

Julie are you going to participate in the chart? I don't have your weight either. I know lots of people PMd me, which is harder to keep track of than in a post or direct email. xosm

Hi Cathy. I find if I don't eat solids in the morning [and I usually don't want to anyway] I eat less during the day, too. Sometimes I think if I just had protein shakes all day that I'd never be hungry, but I know that's not healthy.
Are you going to particpate in the chart? because I don't have your weight and I don't want to leave you out.

Topic: RE: Something stuck in throat sensation
How are you feeling now cutie? Better?
When I eat too fast or too much-I get more of a "rock" in my chest feeling.
It can feel like it's in my throat-if I am really filled to the rim..lol
When I start having trouble I will start to measure my food-this may help you...my doctor NEVER said to measure-but from reading this BB I understand that it can be a great help. You can try it again for a few meals, with a cup, a half cup, or ounces.....
I hope you are doing better.
