I am almost the exact post-op as you and have been at the same weight for a week. I'm trying not to be addicted to the scale but it's hard not to want to see results! I'll keep up the good work and you keep up the good work and I'm SURE we'll see results.

yeah, apparently I stall for like 8 days and then drop4 lbs. over and over. I'm not losing as much as other people but I think that is bc I can't get in the fluids. So I feel like in a continuous stall!! lol.

I'm sorry you are having regrets, but I honestly think its normal and part of the process. I hope you start feeling better and I'm AMAZED you can get your fluids in!! Wow, that's awesome.
Take care and update us!! I hope you start feeling better.1

Topic: 5 DPO Not sure how I feel ..
I researched this surgery for 8+ years..I tried every diet possible. I normally have a high pain tolerance and heal quickly. I am not new to surgery have had 4 previous surgeries 2 of them were c-sections all which were WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY easier than what I experienced.
I was ready..prepared...there wasn't a person that was going to tell me not to have this surgery. I went into the hospital prepared (so I thought) everyone at the hospital whas phenominal!!! They were attentive, caring and some of the kindest people I ever encountered.
I won't go into a ton of detail unless someone has specific questions...but today I am 5dpo and I am completly miserable..writing this is taking all my energy. I have alot of pain, everything taste HORRIBLE it is a full time job to sip sip sip all day long and get in the required fluids. I will be on clear liquids until day 7 then I will be able to add some protein shakes. Week 3 is where i can add some "soft foods"
Just think and re think and think again your decision to have this surgery it changes your entire life...it is major surgery and is painful. Right now i'm wishing i tried one last "diet" and gave it 20000% because this too is hard hard hard work as any diet and this is forever ..
I just want to feel better and put something in my mouth that will taste ok.

I had surgery on 04/13 and was doing great with my weight loss and now for almost a week I have been stalled. I am doing everything that I am supposed to be doing. Low carb, high protein, drinking all my water AND going to the gym about 5 days a week and the scale won't budge. Is this normal? Is anyone else going through this or is it just me?
Topic: RE: 2 weeks out and having redness and heat at incision
i had my staples out last friday. i talked to the nurse and she said since my incision is still so new, it's normal to have redness and heat around it. as long as there isn't any drainage, it should be ok she said. i have a feeling it is because of the weight from my stomach pulling down on the stitches inside. it hurts SO BAD if i bend over or roll over. i have to hold my belly or wear a binder when i walk around.
Topic: I discovered crab cakes! Yum!
I bought frozen crab cakes from Wally world before surgery and decided to eat them last night. They weren't bad and had low carbs and good protein. Just wanted to share.
