I'm doing 2 a day (as my nut. recommended)  they have between 20 and 35 g of protein.  I am getting in between 90-100 g a day right now

I hear ya. I never had bumps on my thighs and was pretty proud of that, now my entire thigh was bumps from excess skin. I think its disgusting and feel very self conscience. I go to the beach for a week in 2 weeks and I don't even know if I'm going to take my pants off!!!

I see a lbl in my future!!

HaHa  I was just talking to a friend about this yesterday!   I actually told her I missed my fat in my arms.  I never really looked like I had "bat-wings" because the solid fat kept them from flappin too much, but now with the liquidy jello fat it looks like I could fly to the moon!!!!!

All I know to do is more muscle strengthing and hopefully our skin will respond.  If not...plastics???????

Okay, so my body is changing.  I've lost 37 since surgery (even though I've been stalling for three weeks) and 30 before surgery.  My fat which was once firm is now turning into mush.  I can grab stuff all over the place.  I am weight training but this is concerning for me.

Anyone else having this happen too?  Comments?

None of you are nuts...it's just part of the process.  I think that we have all lost a part of our identity by not being able to eat what and when we want.  But it's the "what and when" thing that got us all into the position that made us decide to take such a drastic step as weight loss surgery.

I too have longed for the grilled deli sandwiches at Jack in the Box (or just the grilled sourdough for that matter.)  But I'm NOT sorry I did the surgery.  I am slowly learning that food should not be the focus of my day, but simply a required part of it.  I mourn the loss of enjoying my food (totally NOT enjoyable right now) but I know I am treating my body more like it deserves.

As for those of you experiencing stalls...I had a stall around week 2, and just ended a 3.5 week (yes 24 days!!!!!!) stall.  But overall I have lost 56 pounds (including pre-op loss) and my body is already rewarding me for all my hard work.  I can once again walk around my block, I have more energy, my butt doesn't hurt nearly as much after riding my bike, and...I CAN CROSS MY LEGS AGAIN!

Please don't talk negatively to yourselves...just keep reminding yourself that you are trading happiness that came from food for happiness that comes from feeling better, moving better, and looking better.  The latter form of happiness is healthier and will last longer!!!

HANG IN THERE!!

Hello!  I can eat a half cup of chili, soups, things like that.  If I eat protein, it's 2oz, maybe 3 for very soft fish.  If I eat refried beans, a quarter of a cup fills me right up.

I am with the cheese too but, my favorite.....FAGE greek yogurt tastes sooooo good to me.  I have never tasted a ff yogurt with such a creamy consistency.  I put some frozen strawberries in a container into the fridge for a day.  They get all mushy.  I put those into the yogurt with splenda and poof...15 grams protein, good on the pouch and yummy!

I started eating nuts week 4.  I did not have a puree stage, so I went from eggs, peanut butter, yogurt  and cheese to adding nuts, fish and beans.

Nuts were no problem... I just chew them until they are liquid in my mouth... no worries...

Blessings!

I go for my bloodwork on Monday and the following Monday I'll see my NUT.  We'll see!
