Topic: RE: Who's your biggest cheerleader/critic?
My boyfriend and family seem to be my biggest cheerleaders, they have been behind me from the get to, even my friends.

As for critics, my boss for one, she thinks I will fail, even told me when I was allowed by my NUT that I should not be eating an egg, but an egg substitute, I said I do what my NUT tells me since she has knowledge of this.  Also myself.  OMG I am hard on myself.  I have been in a 4 week stall, only lost 17 pounds and yeah I am second guessing myself with everything, even though yes I am getting in my protein, I am logging food, and I have shown my NUT what I am eating, anddd I am exercising.  But that scale not moving is just making me scared.
I have started a blog all of my own for this journey.  Please follow me at www.digitalsheep.org.

Diana,  I do hope things straighten out for you. You know I had a similar issue with time release meds, now not taking anything to be sure they are out of my system then will start on new meds (that don't have weight gain side effects)! My pain meds are all out of wack,  my family has been coming in to help with the house, laundry etc.  If you feel like I feel you just want to feel BETTER.

Anytime you need to write me, I would be happy to have you write me anytime. How will you Dr's stay in touch with your needs while your away? Has your belly button healed up yet?

Hope to hear from you soon, LOL Anna

My husband is by biggest cheerleader by far. Once he read about the different surgeries and learned about the vsg he has been encouraging. He got me through the appeal process and anytime it started to look too difficult because I was traveling to another state he reminded me why I wanted this particular surgery. Now that I am almost 7 weeks out and coming off of my first stall he has been so encouraging and reassuring. My 4 children are rather indifferent. My boss has been wonderful and never fails to tell me how good I look.

I don't know. I got sick a couple times before 4 weeks out and haven't in several weeks, so maybe I learned. What I did learn what not to try new things out in public. Chicken is hard without a lot of sauce so maybe it was WHAT you ate and not how much. But yes, I do think you learn but sometimes you eat too fast and don't realize and then get sick. Anyway, that's my experience.

My biggest Cheerleaders are my Mom is doing almost what I am except she doesn't have the tool that I do.My sister lives in Maine and I call her almost everyday and let her know what is going on and how I am doing. My Aunt Cathy is another cheerleader she is in Florida and she wants to know also everytime I go see my surgeun about what is said what I lost.I also have an Angel Cheerleader that may sound weird but I lost my brother Jim at age 50 will be a year this September but he is rutting for me all the way,at first he was against me doing this then he did some resurch and found out that it had changed from years ago and then he was behind me.

Topic: ZUMBA!

I went to a ZUMBA class with a couple of girlfriends for the first time this past Thursday! It is one hour long and I was EXHAUSTED! We were so sweaty and tired, it was hilarious. But I totally recommend it, talk about a fat burning aerobic workout! OMG! It kicked our behinds!  One of the girls that went said that she had gone to another Zumba class at another location and it was nothing compared to the one we went to. It was a little hard to keep up at times, but it was like latin dancing- salsa, cumbia, cha cha ... a lot of fun. There is a lot of hopping, at least in my class, and with the arthritis I had to slow down on the hopping but kept moving without hops..lol... I am sure that I burned all the calories I had eaten all day haha . When I got home I was so tired, I drank some more water and went to sleep. I couldn't even stay awake for dinner...
Check out their website and see if there is a class near you-- www.zumba.com!! They are popping up everywhere and have become very popular these days! There are also videos that you can buy (that's how it began) but for me personally, videos don't work, I won't do them. I have more success going somewhere and working out with a group. Zumba cost me $7 a class and they have them twice a week, although we plan to go once a week and I will supplement that with my bike riding, walking and stepper at home. Try it out guys, you will have a blast!
