Topic: RE: 4-5 wks out..what are you eating?
I am amazed that many of you are eating breads and veggies, even crackers and nuts. I still don't eat more than about three ounces per meal, I can't even imagine 1/2 bagel with tuna and cheese, it sounds wonderful, but I think I would have one or two bites and be full.
Partly,. I think I am afraid to push myself too much because I don't want to dump or get something stuck -- I will have to venture out one day.

1st off, carbonated bevs are the quickest way to increase your stomach size. Reg liquids go right through.
I am to keep putting a towel between my fat rolls where my belly button incision is. It will keep it healthier and less moist. I actually roll up wash clothes, put one on either side of the bandage and use a belt to hold them in place. I wish I had been told that right after my surgery because it probably would not of gotten infected!
Even with the packing of my belly button incision, I'm allowed to exercise now at 6 weeks. Just no major crunches. When my incision gets to where it is a small bowl shape, I can start PT in the pool for 20 minutes. I was told it probably won't be until mid-June.
I take the 2 multi-vitamins, 2 B-12, 2 calcium, vitamin D, liquid omega and melatonin on top of other meds. My diet of yogurt and hot-n-sour soup is a good one but I'm supposed to very slowly add other foods one bite at a time. Protein being the 1st to consume at every meal. I am supposed to get 100mg protein daily for the rest of my life. My couple spoonfuls of watermelon is okay.
I hope that helps with some of the questions I've seen. I really like my surgeon and he has been doing this quiet a while.

Diana and Chrissy, you are both amazing! Thank you for the support!
I went to the dr yesterday and found I have gall stones so another surgery is close in my future. I hope this is the reason all this pain and nausea has been present. I will keep you all posted, I see the dr tomorrow to find out surgery date.
Thank you again for the support! It makes me feel a lot better!!

Topic: RE: Feeling very lost and overwhelmed
i am also bothered with nausea, and when nausea is there, nothing feels good, and i cant eat anything. what has really helped me though is the nausea patch that you put behind your ear. one patch is good for 3 days, and then u just remove the old and put a new one on! i have been using the patches since my surgery on 4/28. i do sometimes leave a day in between patches to see if the nausea has gone or not.

I agree w/ previous poster - any weight loss is better than where any of us were before. Good Job & congrats on the great labs.
Topic: RE: Weird....
Hi Karen, My name is Robbie I am waiting for response from my insurance, I'm going to have the RNY. I was wondering if you would mind telling me some dos & don'ts that might help me after surgery. I know everyone will have different effects from surgery. But I would like to hear a few things from someone with first hand experience, & since you are very new to everything it is still fresh on your mind. I thought you could tell me somethings to expect. I would really appreciate any advice you could share with me. I'm very excited about having the surgery done, I can't stand the waiting....LOL. But I'm nervous at the same time, but more excited. What do you mean " the foamies" Or dumping ( I'm Pretty sure I know what this one means...LOL. thanks!!!
