Topic: RE: Anyone else struggling a bit?
Hi,
You are not alone, I am struggling too. I don't feel like I ever had that "honeymoon" everyone talks about. I have been able to eat pretty much anything from the beginning (just a lot less of it) and started feeling hungey just a few weeks out. I have to be really careful not to graze my way through the day (I often don't succeed), and it is as difficult as ever to make the right food choices. I have lost 89 lbs and I try to exercise 3-4 times a week. I am now losing about 2 lbs every other week. Hopefully that will continue long enough for me to reach goal, but I know it won't be easy.

Hi Kathy- thanks for making me think about all the positive results I have had from my WLS. Here are a few of the happy changes:
1. I have lost 89 lbs and gone from size 28 pants to size 18, from size 3X top to an XL (I did have a difficult time finding clothes when I couldn't shop in the fat chicks section anymore- I had no idea what section to look in!)
2. This year I attended 3 basketball games and could actually fit comfortably in my seat! Go Kings
3. My cholesterol went from 250 to 148
4. Although I am still taking blood pressure medicine, I haven't had to increase the dosage like I would have without the surgery.
5. I have taken over the vegetable garden from hubby this year and am actually enjoying it!
6. I no longer wake in the middle of the night due to knee pain, or the pain in my side that comes when hubby pokes me and tells me to stop snoring. I even stopped taking my arthritis medicine for my knees and no longer need my handicapped parking.
7. I can keep up with my best friend while we are "power shopping" and I am looking forward to Christmas shopping for the first time in a looong time.
8. I can wear my wedding ring for the first time in 16 years.
9. I can tie my shoes without unzipping my pants first.
10. I can clip my toenails without going into a contortionist act to reach around my belly.
I am sure there are many more, but these are the first 10 I thought of.
My goal weight for myself is 180, so I have 51 lbs more to go.

Hi everyone,
I am a slow loser too, but still a happy camper since I am feeling so much better. My high weight was 320 and I am now at 231 so that's 89 lbs gone. I am hoping to get to 180. (150 would be nice, but let's get real here LOL)

Well, so many changes.... here are just a few....
1) From size 30/32 to 16
2) Sooo much more energy, workout 4x a week easily.
3) I can now look at myself when I pass by a mirror or a window.
4) People who haven't seen me in a while don't even know me.
5) I was sad when I just had to go back to the hospital for emerg. hernia repair, but I did notice I didn't have to be on the "obese size" gurney when they took me to surgery.
Have a great month everybody!

Started this jouney at 265lbs in october, now i weigh 185. my doctor's goal was 190 so i passed that. i'm just happy that i can buy regular clothes and play with my son. if i lose more great but i'm not really trying. my ideal i guess would be 160.
Topic: RE: POLL
I started out at 249 and now at 160. My personal goal is 130 although my doctor says 140. So right now I am shooting for 20 more pounds. It is going much slower now. I am so happy with this tool!
