Hi Rachel
First of all, your questions are not stupid. You ask anything that you want to know. Don't you worry about eating that wrap. It was a healthy choice, and full of protein. I can eat a whole bean burrito supreme from Taco Bell. It takes me a good 1/2 hour, but I love them, and they're full of protein. Enjoy your healthy choice foods.
We're able to eat a lot more, now that our pouches have healed. We just have to make sure that we choose healthy foods. We're never going to be able to eat as much as we use to, so don't worry, Rachel.

Rachel, I bet if you tried to eat it again tomorrow you wouldn't be able to. Somedays our pouches are just more accepting of food, other days it isn't. I don't think you did bad at all. At least it wasn't a big ol' fat juicy hamburger, then I would have been a bit worried!!! LOL
As we get futher out we are going to be able to eat more (definatly not as much as before WLS). This is where we really have to star****ching what goes into our mouths and to keep making good choices. Please don't beat your self up over this, I personally think you made a good choice in what to eat, you enjoyed it and it's ok.
Take care,
Danni

Topic: Did I do wrong at lunch?
Hey you guys I have a question ....I went to lunch today at Subway with a friend from work, and I told her I was going to try that new Adkins wrap Chicken and Bacon. When I got it I only got them to put Lettuce, tomatoes, black olives with spicy mustard came with melted cheese chicken and bacon...it is not huge like a reg sub sand. I ate the whole darn thing, but one little bite at the end ....I did not feel over full I did not feel sick I was satisfied to a T...So my question is ...I am almost 8 months post op...I felt like O MY GO****hink I must have overdone it???? I was never able to eat this much till like these past 3 weeks and it is not like I am trying to over do anything...I just eat slow talk and stop when I feel full....Do you think I may have ate to much or has anyone eaten just about a whole wrap like this? I am sorry to ask such stupid questions, but I am just scared !!!!

Hi Peg,
You're doing awsome! Some people say to count the weight you lost pre-op toward your goal. Personally I didn't lose anything really Pre-op, so doesn't really matter. I've gone from 349 to 229, -120 pounds and from a size 26/28 to 14/16. Quality of life is so greatly improved that it's almost unbelieveable.
I just had a birthday a couple of weeks ago and I had made a little video on my computer last year to mark what I was going through waiting for surgery, how I was feeling, what I looked like etc. I watched it a year later and was shocked at how heavy I was. Pictures are one thing... but videos are very scary. Moving images... watching my fat bounce as I talked and moved... yuck.
My appetite is coming back too. I have to be very careful to not nibble and graze all day, especially on weekends. I have to make sure that if I put something in my mouth I make that one of my "meals" and eat a proper amount to get completely full and not eat again for another 3-4 hours. work is tough and I usually have the opposite problem where I don't get a chance to eat for 5-6 hours at a time. But we're making it!!
You're doing awsome Peg, keep it up! Get ready to enjoy an awesome summer with your new body!

Oh, a nice picnic sounds like a ton of fun!
I'm going down to New York City to visit my best friend for one "last bash" before moving to Oregon the following week. We're hitting some of the museums and touristy stuff that I've been avoiding or we just never got to before. So lots of walking around, late nights out dancing, really living life. Pre-op I would get so tired walking around the Met, but now I plan on tackling that place head on!
Have fun!

Tanya,
That's so awesome!!! I was doing the same thing this weekend! I fit into a size 14 jeans at Lane Bryant, but their size 14/16 tops are getting too big! I'm kinda freaked out because LB has been the ONLY place I've shopped for the past 10 years. Now where do I go? Too many choices, and I'm not familliar with their clothes! It's a happy yet scary thing isn't it??
I've bought a couple items at Old Navy and The Gap, but it makes me nervous. Isn't it funny how we get so familliar and used to going to one place? (at least I did) Have you tried those stores yet?
Look out... because pretty soon you won't be able to shop at Lane Bryant anymore!!! And then... who knows?
Keep it up girl, you're doing awsome!!!!!

Hi Karen
I love playing volleyball! I haven't played it in a really long time, though. I'm going to wear my new bathing suit, and swim in my pool! Last year, we had company, so I didn't wear my swim-suit, but look out for Jane, this year!!!
Have a great holiday! Your WL Friend, Jane
