Topic: RE: Century Club!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I hit century club ... um, not sure exactly when. I was -110 at my 6 month post op.
Unlike you guys, I still have a long way to go to my goal. I'm jealous of those of you that are almost there.

Topic: RE: Slow down?
I recently bought a scale and for almost a month lost nothing. Now, in less than a week, 10 lbs. I never weighed except at my post op appointments, so I have no idea how I would lose it.
However, my exercise is picking up, so I hope my steady weight loss continues. Still have a long way to go.
Topic: RE: what are we eating?
I eat the same boring junk over and over.
Yogurt, beans, chicken soup, string cheese....protein shakes.
I have no idea what to eat most of the time. I used to eat a lot of pasta and bread (prior to surgery). I just supplement with shakes now.

Absolutely slow! After double digit losses through 6 months, I've only lost 7 this past month. And about 1 lb/week the past 2 weeks. I'm trying to stay positive - it still is a loss and not a zero loss plateau (YET). And they say you still lose inches while the body is rearranging itself during the slow down. I was still hoping for a few more months of 8-10 lb/month. I think now is when exercise becomes more important. I haven't been very consistent in that area and signed up for water aerobics starting next week at the Y. Hopefully that will keep me toward goal - it is close enough now to seem achievable, but still a way to go.

Jean I had hair loss but it is coming back already. Some is still coming out but it has slowed. I am healthy. My doc thinks it was just the shock of the surgery to my system.

Well with the amount that you are eating I asked my doc the same question. As far out as we are we will be able to eat 6 to 10 onces of food depending on the food of course.

Hi Toni,
I don't regret a moment either!!! The best thing I've ever done for myself!
I've been eating slowly and chewing a LOT, I've felt better in the last couple of days.
Best of luck!

Dear Jacki,
I have to wonder if it is the time of year (things seem to get so busy in summer) or the 7 month stretch that makes us prone to exercising less. I find my motivation dropping even when it should be increasing--to not stall out now. I usually have two low weeks and two high weeks a month. But my low week was really low last week, and that's what got me worried.
I want to remain focused, so I'm not sure what is going on. I have yet to get excited about exercising--it is sheer duty at this point. Tonight's support group is supposed to be about exercising so maybe I'll hear just the right thing to get me back into the gym.
I started out quite large so still have a lot to lose yet. I'm not ready for it to slow down too much!
Good luck on your last 20!
Sally
