Topic: Checking in...
Just checking in, been incredibly busy, trying to muddle through the stinking holidays.  I am thankful Thanksgiving went over without a hitch, now if I can just get past Christmas, all will be fabulous!!

I have been kind of reclusive and thankfully I have some wonderful friends who are attempting to help me get out of my self imposed box.  I am still working on being comfortable with the changes in my body, but still LOVE my sleeve immensely!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday !!

Finally got ahold of someone, guess I wasn't pressing the right extension. She said she didn't see any reason why they wouldn't take my insurance, even looked it up on the medi-cal website. When I said where I was from she was like oh wow. lol. But I got put on eternal hold and had to hang up due to long distance. Said I would need a referral from my pcp but I already knew this :P Now I am debating whether or not to call back just yet to find out more or wait til tomorrow lol. I'm not getting my hopes up yet as nothing is set in stone with insurance these days. But here's hoping!

Topic: Kaiser San Diego Options Program
I am posting this to help assist a few people that have Kaiser. They are told they have to go thru the Options program which is really costly. Their PCP have already given the recommendations and the only part that may be a problem is going thru the options program.

Do anyone know if this is a do or die prior to surgery and if not how or what is the procedure to appeal?

Any and all information is greatly appreciated because these 3 people can not afford the cost of the Options program and are 5'2 and 280 plus lbs!

Thank you
