Topic: Revision Surgeons in CT?
Hi all, I haven't been on in quite a while. Struggling with my demons and wondering if any of our bariatric surgeons perform any type of revision surgery for people like me dealing with the runaway train that is regain??? I had gastric bypass in 2004 with Dr. Aranow; the short of it is that I am constantly and painfully hungry; no matter what I eat, the hunger does not subside. I have done all the right things for these past nearly 7 years and continue to do so - exercise, eat healthily, drink my water, take my supplements - and I am gaining and miserable and tortured by this hunger. I have tried to talk to Dr. Aranow but he dismissed me. I like him a lot but he does not want to hear about my struggles. Soooo - anyone else in the same boat? Any ideas for a different surgeon to potentially do a revision? I really believe my pouch and stoma are very dilated. Thanks everyone. Help please! Maureen

8 years. Wow.  It's almost unbelievable to me.
After 8 years...still going strong and hanging in there.
I'm a little heavier than I'd like to be, but still feeling good.
My knees hurt like the devil sometimes, but otherwise I'm healthy and strong.

Thank you to my surgeon, Dr. Aranow for his skill and this miraculous surgery.
Thank you for the love and kindness of my OH and non-OH friends who have always been so supportive.

Good luck to all of you out there, wherever you are in the process.  I wish you success and health.

And...to any old timers out there- I hope you're also well.  I was sad to see this board so quiet.  We used to be quite the lively group.  I miss it a bit!

Hi,

I don't know whether or not you'll see this lil post, but I remember you from the Middlesex Hospital Monday Monthly Support Group.  I finally got my date for my Open Gastric Bypass op.  It's this coming Monday, November 22nd.  I'm glad it's finally here after the 6 month pre-op journey.  I just wanted to say that my husband and I so enjoyed attending the Support Groups at the hospital for the Open RNY.  You regulars were a big help to me and were certainly appreciated.  I hope to attend again at some point after I've recuperated and settled in to my new lifestyle, new life.  I am SO, SO greatful that Dr. Aranow will be my surgeon.  I think his whole program, from beginning to end has been nothing less than remarkable.   He and his staff have left no stone unturned.  I'm 64, almost 65, and praying all will go well with the op and afterwards.  Thanks again to you and your group for the help you gave me in my pre-op journey.

Hi everybody. My name is Megan. I am currently going through the process of getting RNY, and I was wondering if anyone has had Dr. Nadzam, and if they could give me any insight onto how St. Rafaele's handles your care... Thanks
