I got the FB message and the emails but couldn't figure out when it would take place. We would be interested. My son and his family recently relocated to that area from N. Florida. We would love an additional opportunity to visit with the grands (and children of course)!

All my life I dieted....lost a little weight....went off the diet...and gained the weight back plus more!!!!
10 years ago I promised myself I would not fail again!!!
Instead of going on a "diet" I went on a "Lifestyle" change. Altering the way I ate, exercised and even thought about food!! It didn't happen over night....food was my best friend and I truly loved it!!!
But after days, weeks, months and even years I learned I could enjoy food...and even learned how to enjoy healthier foods!!!
It has been a real roller-coaster of a ride to get to 10 years out and I don't weigh 400 lbs. Yippee!!! In the beginning I would think....and pray...."Please God, don't let me gain the weight back"! I really wasn't sure I could do it...I never could before....why would I think I could do it this time???? That was part of the problem before.....I didn't believe in myself....it took a long time....BUT I DO BELIEVE NOW!!!! I CAN DO ANYTHING I SET MY MIND TOO!!!! (And so can you!)
The road this far out is not easy...I can eat so much more than I could in the beginning, but I AM NOW IN CONTROL!!!
I know what to do to maintain my weight!
I still do not eat bread, rice, pasta, potatoes or sugar.....but I don't even think about it any more!!!
Find what works for you! And do it for a lifetime....and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!!!!
Sending you much love and success!

When: Saturday April 30, 2011 11:00am - noon
Cost: FREE, but please bring a few items if you plan to swap.
Bonus: FREE bariatric samples and door prizes!
Where: Henry Medical Center
1133 Eagle's Landing Parkway
Stockbridge, GA 30281

We will meet in the Foundation Education Building. Take the stairs or elevator to the 2nd floor. We will be in the first classroom.
It's Clothes Exchange time!!! So, clean out your closets, and ask your family, friends, and co-workers to donate their gently used, clean clothes to your wls buddies.
It's so hard keeping up with your wardrobe as the pounds shed, so a clothing exchange is a great opportunity to give and take a few pieces to get you through your transition.
Pre-ops this is a GREAT opportunity to get all the awesome clothes others have shrunk out of. Our loss is your gain:-) The last clothing exchange I attended had tons of bigger sizes to share.
Your non-wls family and friends are welcome to participate in the swap too, but please ask them to share some things if they are planning to take a few things away.
Please spread the word with your surgeon's office and support group. You do not have to be a member of the GA Losing for Life Group to participate. Everyone is WELCOME.
Feel free to share:
business & casual clothes, especially fall/winter sleepwear
fittness wear, sports bras, sweats, etc.
work out videos, and fittness equipment
bras, and hosiery
swimwear
shoes
purses
accessories
unused protein products, vitamins, and other wls friendly products
wls books, magazines, etc.
**** Please be courteous and only share clean items, and current styles in good condition with no rips, stains, or tears. You do not have to place items on hangers.
Please come join us!
