Sherri,

I didn't know Denise personally, but she was a friend of several of the members of our Indy SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) club.  They were good friends with her.  I was so sorry to hear about her passing.  Her family is in our prayers.

Topic: RE: Lapband to RNY, Ugh-is it going to work?
I had a r-n-y this past Feb. on the 3ard,but I first had a lap-band put in about 3 years ago. The only difference is that I had a band slippage in less than a week after it was put in. I than chose to have it removed instead of repaired. Fast forward feb 3,2010 I was approved for the R-n-y as a revision and I have been happy ever since. I went to the Clarion Bariatric Center and had the best experience with a great staff.Dr. Mattar was my surgeon and I am so happy I picked him! Please keep me in touch I think everything with your revision will be great.Congrats on the 89 pounds lost!

Topic: Hoosier Lap Band Support Group
Hi all.  I have to confess, I signed up on OH after my surgery and was gung-ho for a while and gradually forgot about it. I created a group a while back hoping to get fellow lap-banders together for more than a once-a-month support group meeting (which is what my current hospital provides).

If you've had the lap band procedure and would like to join the group, please do. It's in its infancy, but hopefully will grow and be helpful!

Also, if you have the time to put some thought into this: What things are most important to you when you join a group? What do you hate to see?

Thanks much and wishes for continued success,

Becki

Sorry for your loss of another of Bill's family.    It seems you guys have been thru alot this past year.  You are in my prayers.

I am sorry that her surgery wasn't done in time to save her life and give her a new chance like we have.  But she is no longer weighed down by the burden of obesity.  Try to be happy for her and know she is enjoying her new self, pain free, and able to dance, run and even jump if she chooses!!!

Huge hugz,
Tracy

Topic: RE: ? for tracy

My experience has been that it tightened up very well.  It seems to have much more capabilities to stretch and shrink back pretty quickly.  After my plastics, the outpatient hospital kept me overnight and had NOOOO food on my acceptable list of sugar free or bari friendly.  So for about 36 hours at least I had no solid foods.  My pouch shrunk down some then too.  So my experience is that it responds rather quickly and does get the restricted feeling back somewhat.

Hope this helped.

Good luck!!!

Huge hugz
