Hi Susan thanks for taking over on here you are doing great.....
Guess what the people that bought our house called this morning and said they wanted to buy the house that we sold to this girl so we wont have anything to worry about now....Isnt God good...all the time. They said we would close friday or monday....the inspector is coming tomorrow... hope he doesnt find a lot of stuff to do....
i think they are sending out a termite inspector too. we told them that we refuse to pay for all of this stuff since they are getting such a bargain ....so they agreed to pay for the stuff. ....anyway...we are excited......ECUADOR HERE WE COME.....OUR FINCA AWAITES....

Congrats on the 5 year! as well as selling the house you seem so excited to go I am happy for you :)
I totally understand the weight gain I am also up some its been either rain or 110 so I haven't been exercising, however now that I think about it the gym is air conditioned LOL

Thankyou susan. Back in april when I started this journey It seemed it would be forever until My date got here now it seems it flew by. lol I keep having mixed feelings and my emotions are crazy right now. Ive never had this long to actually sit and think about having surgery before I think thats my problem. All my other surgerys were " emergency" type things, lol This 1 I have had months to think about. lol Anyways thanks for replying to my post and talking to be about your experience. I love the staff up their they are all so nice and helpfull.

Sorry i did not see you write i had my surgery at columbia through missouri bariatrics when my husband and i lived in missouri.pre op class they will tell you want to do before and after the surgery.as for the day of the surgery they will talk to you as they get ready to take you in.they are very nice.i was just as nervous as you are.the test are just to make sure everything is ok for surgery they are all routine.i had all the xrays and test done too.
it was the best thing i could have done for my health.i was on insulin shots blood sugar pills blood pressure pills and pills because there was too much fat in my blood.i do not take any of them any more.i just take my vititiams.you will have to take them all the time after surgery.and get your protien in.
they will tell you all about that at your classes.
we will be praying for you.hope what i said will help you.any more questions just ask away.i will answer them for you if i can.

Good morning hope everyone had a good weekend.they sure do fly by fast.we did not get a how lot of rain since but it starting to warm up again some.
supposed to be 103 here by wednesday,guess the really hot weather is not done yet.
barbara and susie how are you all doing.
lana school we know is keeping you busy.
jan we are glad to see you on here agin.we are glad for you that you finally sold the house.we know you and joe are ready to get moving.cong on your ann date for your surgery.it will be 5 years in nov for andy.
any new people have a questions just ask away i will try and help if i can or someone will.i know i can not do the job on here like jan did but i will try and do my best.

I actually forgot it was my surgeversary....wow 5 years. hate to say i have gained some weight back ...i had lost weight during our winter vacation in South America but when we got back it rainned and rained and rained some more then it got so hot i couldnt get outside.,so i have gained a lot...but im sure as soon as we get back to Ecuador and the temps are good there that no excuse to not walk and work outside....
We got the house sold already or at least they have given us earnest money and we signed a contract to purchase....will close in 9 days. Yippee
Cant wait to get to Ecuador and get started on the new part of our lives.
Hope some of you will come see us there...all you will have to pay is your plane ticket , a place to stay and most of your food will be free......cant wait to show off such a beautifu place....

So I got my surgery date on thursday it will be september 6th!! with my preop class being on august 22nd... BTW september 6th is my b-day to ;)
Anyone else on this board have surgery thru missouri bariatrics in columbia?
kind of curious what to expect in the pre op class and they said after the class we will go over to the hospital for last minute test and a chest xray? anyone know what the tests are or what for?
and anyone know what i should expect the day of surgery? i mean will they just hook me up and wheel me in so to speak or is their more test before and if so what?

Yes water did that to me, acid reflux was one of the reasons I qualified for surgery, a bad knee can do it too. Most insurance doesn't require comorbities if your bmi is above 40. It was the best thing I ever did for myself and I wish I had done it years earlier. You never know what they will say untill you ask.

Hello to all.friday is finally here.sure feels good outside for a change.we got some more much needed rain.we could have done without the winds.
now the rain must have had some miracle grow in it.lol.all of a sudden our yard grew.soon as andy can get out there he wants to cut it.he likes to do it when it is cool so if it does get too hot he does not get over heated.
lana i know what you mean by being busy at work.i like being busy at work.does make your day go by faster.tell everyone hello for us at the group tonight.
