Congratulations on your date! Sometimes if you have too much scar tissue a surgeon will do a vsg instead of an rny. Many people fight for a vsg as their preference (and many prefer rny's as well). My point is that don't feel bad if you end up with a vsg as most of us that have one, absolutely love it!

I actually talked to him about VSG and wondered if that might be a better chose for me based on the possible scar tissue from the band. I also had very bad GERD prior to the band and based on that he thinks RNY is best but you never know when he gets in there what he will decide is best.
