I just lost 230 lbs

Well I did it!  I asked my husband of 17 1/2 years to leave.  And he did.  I am in shock.  He actually packed his bags and left.  I told him he could stay till this weekend, as we are moving.  I told him I did not want him to move to the new house with me or the four kids.

I feel relieved.  Guess I am a little stressed on doing the move by myself, and the new responsibilities that I will have to deal with.

I am so looking forward to a happy and healthy environment for my kids to flourish and grow up in.  It was not healthy for them to live in such a toxic environment.

I get the job of telling the kids by myself.  It will be hard on them but ultimately it will be so much better.

I guess having the RNY has really bolstered my confidence.  I love my RNY!

Wow, you really are CLEANING house.  Congratulations on your recent weight loss!

wow congratulations on that and having the courage to do so!!!! it can be hard and i have had to do it once before too with my ex he was abusive and i finally smartened up and told him i was leaving, moved from our apt to his moms it was great he really thought i would stay in that situation forever and i am so glad you made a great desision!!!! the RNY really can help alot of things!!! you r very rite it wasnt gonna be healthy for your kids to live in that enviroment and i am sure you will find the courage and the strength to tell them and to deal with it as best you can you are a strong and courageous woman be proud of that!!

I don't know your situation so I can only guess that this was something that was overdue and will be a good thing for you and your children. congratulations on having the courage to take this big step and I wish you lots of luck and happiness with this change

All the best to you Traci.  It's hard at first, but you sound like you are ready for this change.  You can do this and you can do the move!  There will be some tough times, but you can handle anything!!!

 I just ended my marriage of 17 years before my RNY.  This was not my choice but there really wasn't any reason to be married any more.  We grew apart.
Starting over is really hard.  I have rented a town house for me and my son.
It will be a new start to my life.

How are the kids taking it.  My son is very hurt and scared about his future.

Hi Alison He literaly left this morning so my kids know yet  my oldest 10 1/2 ad my youngest 1 1/2  not looking forward to this conversation

 It is very hard, I had the conversation with my son and he just doesn't talk much right now. He

is very hard for him
I was married 17 and half years.  
How are you doing are you able to take care of a house and 4 kids.
I am lucky I got a townhouse to rent it came up at the right time.

Dead weight is sometimes the hardest to lose.  Congratulations on making such a difficult decision, but you must feel somewhat relieved to have gotten it done, and getting your life on track.
