Gotta love my hubby!!
Yesterday morning while getting dressed to go out and about, I mentioned to hubby that I have noticed some fine wrinkly skin at the back of my calves.. from weight loss in my legs.( I am down 92 pounds from my heaviest weight and 72 pounds since start of optifast pre-surgery.. its been a long slow road to achieve this success. I walk 4 to 6 miles per outing, at least 6 days a week)..and he mentioned that I have wrinkles at the bottom of my buttocks too LOL..
I said.." just great, now I will have to stuff those wrinkles into my bathing suit bottoms when we go on vacation this winter"..
He said.." NO WAY.. just let them show!! they are BADGES OF HONOUR!! Just like stretch marks after pregnancy.. they are something you earned and should be proud of.. they make you all the more beautiful to me!!" He knows how hard I have worked most of my adult life to lose weight, usually not achieving much success, and knows how hard I have worked to make the most of my RNY post surgery time. He is 100% supportive and after a comment like he made about the saggy wrinkly skin being BEAUTIFUL to him.. I would say that its even more proof that after 36 yrs of marriage I am so very very lucky. he is the best!
Slowly but surely moving downward from 3x pants and 4x tops to size 16 pants that are LOOSE and size XL tops that fit!.. LIFE IS GOOD
