Bra Re-sizing
So, ladies, as we all know (or are finding out), that along with losing the excess weight, the 'girls' get skinnier too.
And flatter.
So, the other day, after popping out of my old bras one too many times, I decided to go to Penningtons and get measured properly. I went from a 44C to a 40DD. What?! How did I go UP in cup size. I've never been that big ever, evenn with being 336 lbs., it's always been all hip. Well, all that extra skin needs to be folded and tucked, so it's got to go somewhere. Sure enough, the 40DD fit properly.
So, my advice. Don't assume that the cup size will stay the same, or decrease, due to weight loss. Get measured properly first.
PS - Penningtons has some lovely bras on sale for 1/2 price right now.

OMG too funny I was having that conversation the other day talking about needing clothes pins to clip my boobs to my apron area (Paanis) in order to get access down below if you know what i mean LOL omg we laughed the i said lord help me if i go braless post surgery the girls will be peeking out from the bottom of my shirt LOL

I have one bra that, when I lift my arms up (like to get something off a shelf), the girls slip out under the wire! Even DH made a comment about my bras being too big now - so you know it's noticeable when hubby comments!

I went and got measured too - I went from a 46 DD to a 38 DDD at my first fitting about 4 - 5 months after surgery- I asked cause that didn't make much sense - even though breasts are smaller - the 38 and the still large breasts constituted the DDD. But it's time to go again and get measured cause the cup size has definitely gotten smaller, I could fill the gap lol. I have all those expensive bras and they're not even showing wear.
It's so weird how our bodies (and boobs) change with weight loss. When I was down in the states on my holiday a couple of weeks ago, I finally broke down and decided to get measured - I was literally down to ONE bra that fit me... the one that used to be my tightest bra. I went from a 40D to a 36C - I was shocked at the difference.
I just wish they didn't look like pancakes now :( BUT... I'll take pancake boobs over being morbidly obese anyday! :)
