Vent away. I would say the Dr was an ass as well. I love my Dr. she knows my body so well and has no problems that is unless the IUD is faulty. That happened with the first Mirena she tried to put in. I was crying and almost passing out while she was trying to get it out, it broke while trying to incert it. She was starting to cry with me because she felt so bad. Weeks later when the new Mirena arrived at her office it went in with ease, well as much as possible.
I still remember my first biopcy, it was done by a holiday replacement for my Dr and I wasn't expecting to have to have a biopcy. It hurt so badly, she wsan't gentle at all and didn't know how tilted my cervix and uterus was. I was very close to passing out and my husband along with the rest of the waiting room could hear me screaming and crying. The million other biopcies I have had since are a breeze.
My husband would never call me a wimp. He has been in the room with me for a majority of my appointments and even with the biopcies and the second Mirena. The Dr explained to both of us how my body was and showed us on diagrams.
I would tell your husband that you will squeeze him as hard as you can and see if he passes out. Sorry if seems rude but alls fair in love and war with me.
Like you said with hold sex that should be painful enough for him. lol
