Hunger Games - how ironic.....

Well I went to the movies last night with a friend.  I love this friend even though she is a size 0 soacking wet.  We were getting settled and my butt wouldn't go into the seat easily.... I moved over one seat to give me some more room to wiggle myself into the seat.  She moved over to be closer - I really love her but she obviously couldn't see it was an issue.

I am so tired of having to worry about things like this - I am not going to the movies until after my surgery - never going to put myself in that situation again.  I wanted to cry.

Hunger Games......

I feel the same way Ann!! worrying about seats in restaurants, movies, wherever there is seating for so-called normal sized people!! it just wears away on the self-esteem!! ((hugs))

believe me i know your pain.

also believe me these issues VANISH and QUICKLY once you have your surgery.  provided you follow the plan.  the changes and NSAV's come so fast and so numerous its staggering!

you will make it.

I reminded myself of these moments when I would panic about surgery and worry if I'd have the guts to go through with it.

Use it!

Hi Ann

I totally hear you, but the fact that she doesn't get it maybe just shows you how much she cares.

It is so nice going to the movies now.

Hunger Games, I am almost finished the second book and loving it

Take care

Monica

My 28 year old niece who NEVER reads raved about it on FB. I said if Shara says it's good it must be lol. She read all three and then saw the movie.

i was sooooooo disappointed in the movie... it just did not live up to the book. I know they seldom do, but this one definitely came no where near the book. at all.

Really? I thought they stayed quite true to the book. I was disappointed in a couple of things, but they are were relatively minor issues.

Spoiler alert!!

I found that i wasn't as emotionally invested in the characters. When Rue died in the book, i cried, in the movie it was like, "oh yeah..that happened". What they did portray was true to the book, but sooooooo much was left out. Her and Gale's relationship, her relationship with the Avox (in fact, there was no mention of the Avox at all, which i thought was important). Also, i thought they all looked too well fed. I would have never beleived they were living hand to mouth, not from their physical condition, nor the condition of their clothing.
